Whiskey Cavalier

so I enjoyed the story 5 spies and baby and it seem the wrtiers are making off the books internal unite by introduce possible new team members that were work those case in the region they go to and meet on their case's and missions .. there's an open for that deep cover cia agent posing as mercenary for trafficker's of children and women & other using the police department there.

it seem's Standish realized she was who when posing right away compared to the other team mates that aren't used field mission that often. and they making out like he's on crush mode over her too..

I'm gonna say that jai is stab happy. he's still annoying but he's learn to stop being so but I don't think it appeal to many others the need to make him less annoying with that personality of his.

well it'll be interesting if the series makes to a season 2.

I generally enjoy the show but sometimes I think the series lays it on too thick with Will being Mr. Sensitive and Frankie being cold badass. Like at times Will is so nice and "sensitive" that it's almost sickening. Like the dude is a spy and an FBI agent and he's constantly letting his emotions and feelings get in the way of his work. That shouldn't be OK right?

Also, why is Will constantly seeking validation from everyone? I get he was betrayed by his best friend and lover, but it's like he needs everyone to approve every decision he makes.

I wonder if Scott Foley is working out some kind of catharsis here considering what happened to him in real life. It just seems a little ironic all these years later, he's starring in a spy TV series, and in the first episode, his fiancee dumps him for his best friend. Something we are constantly reminded of every episode.

And what I mean by that is, the show is trying to underscore too hard that Will is the "good guy" and how badly he was betrayed. It's almost like Scott Foley is looking at the scripts going, "Yes! I finally get to tell my side of the story!"

Well, I would never have thought of it like that. I suppose you could look at it that way.

Who was Scott Foley's best friend though? Was it Ben Affleck? Or was it Michael Vartan?

I mean in his case I guess it would be Michael Vartan. Though I sorta doubt they were ever best friends. But it is sort of ironic to me how it's all playing out. I mean for all I know their marriage could've already been on the outs or close to splitsville.

It just sort of seems ironic to me how he's starring in a spy TV show now and that happens in the first episode.

So there seems to be more chemistry building this week between the two leads. I was sure Emma was going to decide that she couldn't go on with this. I thought Ophelia was only contracted for 3 episodes so I thought this would be her last. Maybe she's in more.

Susan's teeth seem a bit big for her mouth. There also seems to be something possibly building between her and Ray. Btw, Ray looks like saxophonist Dave Koz.

Standish has gotten himself a new nemesis. There's also this thing he has with Scott Foley's wife who plays Martyna.

If Foley is using this show as therapy, isn't his wife going to pick up on that?

Had no idea Foley was married to Martyna. She is gorgeous.

I mean look, if I was married to Martyna, that'd be pretty sweet revenge in itself.

I don't know if it is necessarily therapy for Scott Foley, I just find the circumstances ironic.

I mean c'mon, his wife did dump him for her costar in a spy tv show.

I think he got his karmic when garner dump vartan for aflec and garner got bit of her own when afflec whop had sorted history of not being faithful to his fiance and it eventually happened to her. truth be told it didn't turn out good for those 3.

and it's something always steer a way from. I 'm watching the show and don't care too much for actor's & actress personal lives . it's why I dropped both Et and eTalk and only occasiona put thing's from with only interviews of possible great movie or show.

and don't like it in show's I watch or thing's I read especially in event of great danger to other's civilian student's etc around the main character's that the main characters are supposed to be protecting. it turn me off them.
anyway's will's former Sac/ field office chife is making come back like dark raven I thought he was killed when will threw that knife at him when he was mocking will for his boy scout personality cause will wouldn't let go of the case act like old school soldier(which investigative agent's & intelligence officers etc are supposed act like ) that has to blindly fallow orders. look's like he's still a live .

Sucks but I expected it to happen.

Not surprised at all. I've been saying that I don't see this lasting.
the lot of us saw this coming if this show was on the cw then maybe it'd live. Cause they made the character personality too exaggerated with their worst trait's a human can have and try to push it a comedy. and they are overly pushing that all the characters' are looking for romance. while the writers are lost in what direction they want to take the show with the more serious action parts they over focused on the other stuff.

Also they did drag the plot of the main treat a bit I Don't mean will's former boss Sac/ field office chief. I mean the organization of the trust be sides him.

Good chance that ABC might reverse their decision.

That's odd. Is it such a beloved show? I didn't think it was anywhere as popular as something like Timeless which was cancelled by NBC and then uncancelled, and then cancelled again.

I don't think it's THAT beloved, but I think with the names involved they are willing to give it a 2nd chance, also this would be the 2nd series (Cougar Town )that Bill Lawrence has been involved in that would be bought back from the dead.

I like it. It's not the best thing on TV but as far as light entertainment goes, it does it's job.

Also it sounds like they want to pair up with a streaming service to distribute it, my guess it will be with Netflix (since they did the same thing for Designated Survivor) and who knows perhaps in the future if ABC drops it again Netflix will pick it up (also like with Designated Survivor)

I don't know if they will do that seeing as ABC is owned by Disney and Disney pissed off Netflix with their Disney+ competing service and how they were pulling Marvel content off Netflix.

The difference between Designated Survivor and Whiskey Cavalier is that Netflix already had SVOD rights to DS before for international broadcasts. So moving to Netflix full time for DS was natural. It's not the same for WC.

Was surprised to see that ABC may pull a Timeless, but would be very happy if Whiskey Cavalier got a second season, especially given the ending with Standish getting ambushed. Yeah, Whiskey Cavalier doesn't reinvent the wheel or change the face of television, but I think it's a fun enough watch and I've grown to like the team's chemistry. Yeah, you've seen this kind of show before, but I enjoy it.

Plus, as a part of The Walking Dead fandom, this show getting a second season would be the ultimate last laugh towards those who wanted this show to fail just to stick it to Lauren Cohan for her taking a step back from The Walking Dead.

Damn. It was wrong of them to give people hope they would renew it just to turn around and flip everyone off all over again.

whiskey Cavalier was produced by Warner Brothers though not ABC Studios.

The Bond-esque ski sequence at the start of the finale was cool, shame they didn't end things cleanly given it's not getting a second season.

Still stands in that WB is trying to do their own streaming service although they are not (so far) as bad as Disney in their deal with Netflix.

They are pulling Friends off Netflix, which is the first or second most watched show on that platform. Smart business move by WarnerMedia as well. Screw Netflix, disrupt things with your own content.
