The different skin colors, hairs and shapes as we know them are thousands and thousands years of evolution. When the pre humans left Africa we were still "apes".
Genetic is a power tool. Scientists were able to confirm the archaeologists theory of humanity spreading by studying the evolution herpes virus.

No just black, at least for the humans living in Sub-Sahara Africa. Skin color would start changing once they moved out.

Maybe not black. We don't know how much hair cover was on their body at that time (anything from full on sasquatch to what we resemble now) but it I'm guessing a tan shade akin to what we see on chimpanzees and other primates. As humans moved from climate to climate they got darker or lighter shades of skin to go with the less hair to compensate for the amount of light they were exposed to.

Though there's also the theory that human species evolved from older hominids independently in several areas.

Either way, it's been obvious for a very long time that the idea of racial classification is pseudo-science. They only exist as socio-political constructs, founded by (now ridiculous) antecdotal evidence.
