Bale played the best Bruce Wayne and the best Batman (with Keaton not far behind) Gary Oldman played the best Gordon I've ever seen!

These three played their roles just as they should be played.

I remember when Oldman was first said to be Gordon and I'm not sure if I was immediately confident when I heard his casting but when I saw him as Gordon and acting in the movie, it was one of the best casting parts I've ever seen for a Batfilm. Or any superhero film. He's right up there with J.K. Simmons as Jameson in Spider-Man as a sub character.
