He has many lovers but who is his boo? I thought it was Cat Woman but he has so much drama going on and kids with other chicks I got confused.

Gotham.

But people will probably say Catwoman.

The memory of his parents, which fuels everything in his crusade.

Justice.

With his occasional mistress vengeance. :sly:

I'm surprised nobody's said Robin yet.

I've always been of the mind that Selina is his soul mate, in terms of an actual person. I understand the Talia relationship and their parallels but Selina has always been the more interesting love interest because of its tragic bent. They love each other but because of the choices they've made and the commitments they won't back out of they can't be together. And Batman's begrudging belief in the goodness in her gives him a tenderness he doesn't usually have.

I'd say that his true love is his mission, but Selina Kyle's the closest thing a steady he's got.

Nailed it.

In the Nolan series, his true love is AnneWay.

I second this; I like to think of Gotham as being the closest thing Bruce could have to a “true love” personally.

I’ve always preferred if Batman stays single, but some tension between him and Catwoman or other female characters can be entertaining since he is so devoted to his vow. It makes for a good story too.

Joker has that level of relationship with Batman but it is not reciprocated. Batman existed before Joker and would afterward. I've never bought into the whole "they need each other" thing when it comes to Batman's point of view.

Agreed. The obsession is very much one sided. Batman would be very happy to have a life without the Joker in it.

Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. That interpretation of the Batman/Joker relationship has become very prevalent, and it baffles me.

Crime and Chaos took away the two people Bruce loved most. Why would he ever feel dependent on the embodiment of everything he hates?

Agreed, I love Talia and find her working with Bruce better than Selina. Don't get me wrong, I like Selina but I think that relationship gets too much. Talia is highly intelligent, beautiful, gifted and even rich. She reminds me of Bruce, where Selina does not, well maybe TAS Bruce Timm one. Also, Talia wants justice, to make the world a better place, at least originally unlike how she ended under Morrison. In the end, I can picture Talia & Bruce married with the picket fence. Selina may at first, but then she's gonna show up late and drunk.

You agreed with my post then proceeded to disagree with it completely. :funny:

It's tricky. Depends on how you write Selina or Talia.
