Who is Supernova

Rambo said:
Supernova can only be booster if:

A) It's a different Booster from a parallel timeline (very possible but overly contrived IMO)

B) A younger version of Booster travelled back in time to become Supernova and encountered his older self being an ass. He also witnessed his older self being killed. At some point yet to come, he travels back to the future (heh), has his memory wiped and then returns back to the past (now as his older version) and gets killed. And how stupid does that sound?

You follow now?

As the Doc would say, 'Marty! You're not thinking forth dimensionally!'

;)

You just said it was possible, thats all im saying, its possible, why exactly you went into that whole little rant, I dont know, but essentially you just presented two theories proving my point.

Did you actually read and follow what i said? If so, then i'm afraid you misunderstood my point, and I'd suggest you read it a little more carefully again.

I'm sorry if you take my argument as to why there is no real validity to the claim that 'Supernova is Booster' as an attack upon yourself, rest assured, it's not. Think about that the next time you label my reasoning (which you haven't refuted) as a 'rant.'

But I agree, it's 'possible' if the DC writers are willing to be lazy and belch forth tired, lazy contrived crap. If - for example - the DC writers are going to go down the whole 'alternate universe/ parallel timeline' route - which they won't as it will just undo everything that was done in Infinite Crisis.

It's also 'possible' if the DC writers are willing to crank out an over-hackneyed storyline involving 'young Booster/ Supernova' somehow.... :whatever: losing his memories and travelli...etc zzzz.... snore.

You get my point. If you want to be nitpicky and technical, (don't we all ;))it is possible, with the two above explanations. In my opinion however, those two explanations smack of lazy writing and a lack of imagination, and I don't see the writers of 52 stooping to that level is all.

I think the problem is that none of the current theories to Supernova hold very well. Either we have characters who don't have the right powers, or wouldn't have the experiance that Clark observed. Me, I'm just hoping they don't pull the old "Hank Hall" and pull something out of left field.

Okay, this one may come from ignorance. Wasn't there a Supergirl who had powers of telekinesis and stuff, I guess it was the matrix Supergirl. Isn't she still floating around somewhere as fallen angel? Probably not a serious contender, but I thought I would bring it up.

I prefer supernova to remain "match" or is it "Mach?"

Seems rather unlikely since Match is showing up in Titans East.

You were not suppose to know that:csad:
You need to do a better job of hiding it. You need to take off the glasses when you put on the cowl

I think it's going to end up being the goddamned boster gold.
Was Supernova in the IC splash page?

I just don't see how he could be Booster Gold. That theory still and always will bother me. There would be no way to explain his actions if it were Booster.

Match was not a "bazzaro looking clone"

This guy is,.... I'm hoping it's a clone of a clone of a clone,....

Have any theories of it actually being Kon-El been disproved in this thread?
Well the powers don't fit... but hey they do fit technology from an alternate pre-crisiss future (only in comics can one say something like that. Okay maybe in the ocassional Dr. Who eppisode, but mostly only in comics), so anyone could wield it. For all we know it could be Uncle Ben.

Yeah, but I checked his wikipedia page and all clues point toward him: knowing the location of the Batcave, Cassie's remark, and his pose being similar to Clark's.

The powers couldn't be more off but whan if it's an age-accelerated clone of Connor with augmented powers?

I just watched the JLU epi "once future thing", the one with chronos where batman and co. go to batman beyond time. batman meets old bruce wayne and old bruce says he has no memory of this happening because time is broken. or something to that effect. so it could defintley be booster.

I think the Conner theories aren't taken seriously because we're all too cynical to believe that DC would be nice enough to bring him back so soon after killing him off in IC. Unless, of course, they plan to kill him off again as Supernova, which I could believe. Supernova hasn't been seen in any OYL stuff, after all...

Just curious, what ever happened to the original Mr Miracle?

He was ignored because Morrison wanted the new Seven Soldiers to have some racial diversity.

Well at least they didn''t just kill him off, like Bluebeetle and Firestorm.

I suppose. I enjoy the new Firestorm more than Ronnie, so I'm ok with that. The new Blue Beetle's not bad, but I would've preferred Ted.

Still, Scott Free is Mr. Miracle. They should've just given Shiloh a new name and let him be the poor man's Miracle that he is.
