Who is Supernova

That's bulls**t. It's gotta be
Hanukah Harry.

Well that would fit the mass Deportation and the connection to Superman considering that Kal-El is Jewish due to the fact that his parents were both Jewish. But what would cover the light powers?

and just where does it say kal-el is jewish? im not getting all pissy because you said hes one thing and not another, but im pretty sure the writers have sort of tip toed around that issue

Every Jew gets the power of the Manora duh! Thats the reason they light up the candles.

He worships the Sandman. The personification of Dream, not the golden age detective.

um, no he doesn't. he certainly pays reverence to Lord L'Zoril which is how Morpheus (and now Daniel I suppose) is known amongst the Martians, but if J'onn worships anyone it's H'ronmeer.

Ah. I just noticed J'onn's reaction when they met in Sandman, and remembered reading somewhere about Martians and dreams.

Well, Martian religion is polytheistic. J'onn presumably worships a variety of gods. The one he mentions most often is H'ronmeer, though, god of death and fire.

or light and life if you're to believe the DeMatteis/Badger series. there's also the goddess of life C'eridyall.

Rip Hunter is not Supernova, in the latest 52 him and Supernova are talking and working together in Kandor.
