that's probably the best suggestion i've heard so far on this. it makes total sense, since skeets shipped him off to the way distant future, and maybe he found a way to return to the 21st century and picked up some powers on the way that allow him to do what supernova does. i could even see him taking over the role of booster after the big reveal. good job.

It's not Superman/Clark Kent, and Clark doesn't know who it is

We know that Ralph figured it out, which tends to indicate that we have an existing character. Supernova says that "There's to much at stake" so the person behind the mask has a reason for doing this other than just "I want to be a hero" Also Ralph's attitude tends to indicate that it's not a villain that he's talking to, so we can rule out the original Dr. Light etc. Other than that I'm out of ideas. It could be Atom, maybe Rip Hunter. Their was a hint that it may be "More that one character" I take this to mean someone using tech from more than one hero, but that doesn't lead me to any conclusions.

I'm going in circles here.
