Yep, the something to that effect crossed my mind when they were flirting.
I still think it's John Wesley Shipp in the iron mask. And he's actually Barry Allen from the 90's Flash show. He was trapped there, and took on the alias Jay Garrick (mother's maiden name), since Earth-2 already has a Barry Allen. It's a flawed theory so hopefully Kreisberg can explain it better. But it's makes Jay Garrick not a "baddie", further explores the Multiverse, and gives off the nostalgia factor.
Also worth noting, Barry Allen's brother's name, in the 90s series, was Jay (he was killed in the pilot).
I do hope that Wesley Shipp's 90's Flash shows up after them teasing it in the time stream. But I don't want him to be Jay Garrick. It's too convoluted. If there is a real Jay just let him be Jay and not related to Barry.

What would Zoom want with him though?
Precisely. Which is why it's most likely Henry as Jay. Zoom never stated he was Jay. He said he pretended to be Jay. In order for him to pretend to be Jay he would need to keep the real Jay locked away. I'm betting, just like Flash, no one got a good look at Jay before so nobody could know that a switch was made.
Yeah. Plus lots of people point to "dad" on the phone. But that title would really go to whoever has been in Barry's life the most. The "dad" on the step phone could easily be Barry's step father who was his father for most of his life. Especially if Henry got divorced very early on in Earth 2 Barry's life due to having difficulty juggling crime fighting and family. This could also be a large part of why Earth 2 Barry had a very different personality than the Barry we know, a chip on his shoulder from a broken family as it were. Basically bottom line is if someone is your father for many many years, that's who most refer to as "dad." As someone from a "broken" family, I never took 'dad' as a definitive pointer to it referencing Henry.
Barry's dad. The real Jay Garrick.
Wait...wasn't "Dad" just referring to Earth-2 Joe?
Dad was his wife's dad, i.e., Joe.
