Who owned the role more? Downey as Stark/Bale as Wayne

Both, in a different way. But I could picture RDJ as Wayne but not as Batman where Bale could pull off both Stark and IM imo. So, I guess Bale, for his intensity, commitment and restraint.

Well, you see there I believe Bale could pull off the Iron Man part as well as the genius aspects of Stark. However, I don't think he'd be able to pull off the humor aspect to it. Bale would most likely play Stark as more of a James Bond clone(suave and all that), whereas RDJ captures Starks cockiness and snarky humor perfectly.

I vote RDJ in this poll, but both are good...don't know about Perlman since I have no desire to watch a Hellboy movie.

Downey beat Bale in the playboy department, but as far as Heros go its a tie their characters are too diffrent

Downey as Stark was perfect where Bale as Wayne has no depth, no persona especially in TDK. I like Michael Keaton as Wayne but not as Batman.

Downey as Stark was more inventive and enjoyable. Where Bale as Wayne we were just waiting for him to put the Batsuit on or to see the Joker.
