Who prefers the first movie?

I do, because of the writing and direction. And the narrative is actually focussed and not all over the place, with definitive begining middle and end etc etc.

It's like choosing between two piles of dog poop. They both stink, so it really doesn't matter.

My sister did......I was not pleased at all with the first......but thats water under the bridge....

I loved the second one despite my few negatives.

Its hard the choose. I thought the first one had waaay more action sequences
than the second one.

The SS movie was more story than action so it was kinda of a let down for me.

I think you're mistaken. The first movie is seriously low on action.

The SS movie was more story than action so it was kinda of a let down for me.

I found the sequel to have virtually no story. Doom steals the Surfers' powers, he gets them back and drives Galactus away. It's a mockery of the great comicbook story.

 Though i did think it was slightly better than the EE version of FF.

I'm not sure which I prefer, I enjoy both movies despite their flaws.

I'm watching the first movie right and I definitely think it's better than ROTSS. Neither movie is all that good, but I find FF to be a lot more enjoyable than it's sequel (which I felt was really piss poor and just insulted my intelligence the whole way through).

I enjoyed both movies, but ROTSS was better. Neither are great, though.

I absolutely despised the first one and genuinely enjoyed the second.

Haha, I actually laughed out loud on that one
But the second one was better, I thought. The Silver Surfer was so cool, what little time he was in the movie

I prefer the first one. It was light hearted without being overly-goofy. I mean, what was with the Reed Richards dance scene in FF2? Not only was it cheesy, it was poorly done. In FF2 we also get a near-emaciated Jessica Alba with a bad wig.

Watch FF1 again. Especially the parts with Thing and Doom fighting, and the entire team battle versus Doom at the very end. That battle was the best thing in the entire film, and better than any team battles they did in the 2nd one.

Neither are cinema gold, but I prefer FF1.

When I first came out of the movie theatre, I thought that The 1st one was way better than the 2nd one. Then I saw ROTSS again, and I liked it much more than FF, so SS for me.

Did no one like the second one?

I disliked the first one because of the lack of characterization and relationship building, but loved the action....

I loved the second one because of the characterization and relationships being done so well, but didn't like the lack of action....

I Liked them both about the same.

How can you say the sequel had a lack of action?

The first film had only 2 action scenes: Brooklyn Bridge and the Battle Royale with Doom. Little CGI moments with individual characters in between do not count.

The sequel on the other hand, let's see. The wedding scene, FF stops a helicopter crash. Human Torch chases down the Silver Surfer. Silver Surfer encounters Doom. The ferris wheel in London. Springing the Surfer (he absorbs a missle and then pimp slaps another!). Fantasic-car chases cosmic Doom. Super Johnny battles Cosmic Doom. Silver Surfer defies Galactus.

.....

....oh yeah....what a lack of action.....

I'm not usually one to insitigate a mod or any other member of the hype for that matter, so forgive me for this rant, but I don't appreciate your remark.

You made a point that you thought that the first film had more action then the sequel. I simply rebutted your statement with facts. I'm not saying you should change your opinion, but that your reasoning for it is wrong :o . ROSS had so many action scenes that one could argue it was too much. However, while I enjoyed the first film the facts are that there really were only two action scenes as I stated. Could you have said that you preferred those 2 scenes over all the action scenes in ROSS, making the first film your favorite? sure, it's your opinion. I'm not being emotional because of your opinion, but because i don't agree with your facts.

But the meer fact that you disregarded my post which added valuable information to this discussion/debate and then mocking it? That I get emotional about.......:cwink:
