Who should be in be in Transformers 2? We already know when the movie is showing, but not who will be in it. We don't know, but we can decide. So, ABRACADABRA!, here's the thread!

I think Starscream and Scorponok are in it as Decepticons, but who'll be the new mastermind? Or is it Megatron again. In Transformers 2, I want to see Prime Nova, Galvatron, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Buzzsaw, and Long Haul.

Prowl, Inferno and Hot Rod (or whatever they wanna call him).

Skywarp, Ravage and Blitzwing.

Bring Back Jazz so my damn brother can quit *****ing about it!

I think Soundwave will definitely be in it. How and what his alt-mode will be are a different story, but there's enough talk and hinting about it that he'll be there. Which means Lazerbeak will also be likely.

soundwave the one and only devastator and three dinobots (grimlock, snarl and swoop)

soundwave and the constructicons should come with starscream back from space while the dinobots should be recreated from the small remaining elements of the cube making the giant dinosaur fair ride attractions come to life to aid the autobots.

their simplicity can be obtained by being 'just' created and naiive about the ways of life.

simple and easy.

If I was going to pick, my ideal new Autobot line-up would be Prowl, Wheeljack, Mirage, Sideswipe, and Hound.

For the Decepticons, Shockwave, Soundwave with his minions, Thundercracker, and Skywap would be brought in, along with a combiner group. Plus, I would like to see what they did in the first film to some extent and create a few new Decepticons and slap some of the obsure G1 names onto them.

I think that Long Haul is one of the many name's that Hasbro can no longer use.But the prefix trick might work in this case.

I want to see Vector Prime who can retain his cybertronian jet form like Megatron and the last transformer to show in 2 and every autobot is bowing to Optimus in respect but he doesnt want them to but Vector shows up and since he outranks optimus by being one of the first transformers he bows to him.Hot shot (Hot Rod) he is what Starscream is to Megatron as Hot Shot to Optimus Prime. Galvatron can come and try to take megatrons spot but everyone is obeying him while they secretly try to get megatron.

Hot Shot is a stupid name, its like saying EXTREME SKATER WITH BADASS ATTITUDE. If Hasbro cant use the name Hot Rod anymore they should call him Bigg Rodd. And it should enormous.

that's a pretty interesting analogy you have there, and it's one of the strangest ones i've ever encountered. so far, i've never seen hot shot/hot rod as prime's second in command, not even in the trilogy (not sure in armada though). usually it's jetfire that seems to be next in command to prime in the trilogy. hot rod did take prime's place as the next leader in the g1 series, but he was never second in command to prime like starscream was to megatron. ;)

Hot Rod is supposed to be the Sword in the Stone/King Arthur/Luke Skywalker type character, never the second in command. Sadly that intention was lost with the makers of the 1986 film tying him in too closely with Prime's death, turning a faction of old-school fans against him forever.

However, characters like Hot Rod, Magnus, Soundwave - they are all pretty much shoe-ins for a TF sequel.

i'm so oblivious to that Sword reference. could you tell the backstory of it and how it relates to hot rod?

and i'd love to see all 3 in the sequel, but it might be a little complicated for hot rod.

Have you never heard the story of King Arthur and his sword Excalibuir????

Out of all Transformers characters the usual squad known by the world is everyone in the movie and Hot Shot(Hot Rod). That the only character they didnt add Why? Because they know he and optimus make the team invincible you see character where dieing and when optimus came it brought victory. now with Hot shot too. Its gonna be instant win

Oh Yeah This would make Arcee as classic as Meggatron or Optimus
They didnt add her because explaining gender would be hard and because her bike is to small. Well this one goes 300 mph fact, and controllable because of 4 wheel. It called the 2003 Dodge Tomahawk look it up its larger than any consumer bike out.ARCEE

i've heard of that story vaguely, so what about the sword and how does it relate to hot rod? if hot rod were the young king arthur and the matrix the sword, then i understand the relationship. i'm just not sure if this is what you meant.

i'm really sorry, i still can't make out what you mean with all the misspellings and the jumbled syntax.

That is what I mean....Hot Rod [King Arthur] was the chosen one and the only one that could use the power of the Matrix [sword Excalibuir].

Hot Rods story is very simular to the stories of both King Arthur and Luke Skywalker.

I'm glad that my reference wasn't totally lost.

It's a thematically great story that was lost along the way with many-a hardcore fan's objection to Hot Rod's accidental involvement in Optimus's death in the 1986 film.

Fan qualms aside, from the aspect of telling a story that people relate to, face it - unlikely hero doing amazing things - you don't get better than that :woot:

couldn't agree more!!! if only they didn't involve hot rod in optimus' death, then rodimus' coming into leadership after OP wouldn't have been met with so much objection. they could still have let OP die in battle without having hot rod getting involved. i hope that in the sequel, they would avoid that 1986 mistake--if ever they do want OP to die again. however, in the first place, they shouldn't let OP die in this live action set. it would be pointless as it won't lead into tv series the way the 1986 movie did.

Truth be told...while the fandom blames Hot Rod for the death of Optimus Prime I really dont think thats the real reason why people say that they did not like Hot Rod becoming Rodimus Prime and the new leader.

Lets face it....in season 3 RPrimes character was poorly written, his character was never consistantly handel from one episode to the next.In the last momments of the film he seemed quite cabable a leader and in the next insalment "5 faces of Darkness" he is again un-sure of himself and filled with self doubt.

His character would float back an forth between being a compadent leader and one riddled with self doubt and loathing almost every other episode, and he even gave up the Matrix twice....once to the Decepticons for crying out load.:wow:And by the end of each episode he would seem re-asured and confident again.

If his character had been handdled right trew season 3 I highly doubt that his character would be so hated over a little mistake of youth.
