OK, lets presume there is a 3rd season. Hobgoblin will be there. Who do you think should be involved? Who should be Hobgoblin in the first place - Kingsley or Macendale?

I think it will be best if they make Roderick to become Hobby. He can has his connections with thugs like in the comics. One of these thugs finds Green Goblin's hideout and delivers that info to Kingsley. And he already has a vendetta against Osborn as Norman stole 500 million dollars from Kingsley (you know, in Accomplies). So I think this is good for Roderick's motives to become heir to the Goblin and start to seek his other hideouts for more equipment. In one of these places he finds Norman's journals which reveals to him that Osborn was Green Goblin. After his first encounter with Spidey he realizes that Norman was phisical match for Spidey because of the Globulin Green gas. so Hobby blackmailing Harry Osborn to reveal where is the Green, exposes himself to it and has a battle with Spidey. this can run for like 2 episodes. I know its too close to the comics but that story is just great.

Well, a couple of things which could be incorporated into a Hobgoblin arc. First of all, you can have it start out with the Hobgoblin targeting various people people who had connections to Norman Osborn as a means of intimidating them--Jameson, because of his connection with the creation of the Scorpion from in an earlier episode; Tombstone, who, thanks to the gang war, is now facing trial for being the Big Man; Donald Menken, who is now running OsCorp; Roderick Kingsley, who of course lost $500 million thanks to Norman's schemes in "Accomplices,"; and Miles Warren, for his illegial scientific experiments funded by OsCorp--. Likewise, Roderick Kingsley, since he's being targeted, would initially not be seen as a suspect, although it's later revealed that Kingsley has his twin brother Daniel posing as him to provide an alibi.

Spidey, of course, thinks it could very well be Harry, becoming a goblin themed super-villain like his father. This causes tension not only between himself and Harry--which is already present since he's dating Gwen--but Gwen herself begins to think that Peter is looking for an excuse to try and force her to break up with Harry, who she still feels she can't abandon because of fear he could relapse into "juicing up" and because of his father's "death."

Things ratchet up further when Hammerhead, in a bid to try and wrestle control of the criminal underworld, forms an uneasy partnership with the Hobgoblin, and he begins to muscle in on the leftover factions of those still loyal to Tombstone and Silvermane, and likewise recruiting the Green Goblin's pumpkinheaded goons.

Meanwhile, Ned Lee has been trying to investigate a connection between Spider-Man and the late Green Goblin (which is a carry over from both seasons) and seems to be frequently absent. Betty Brant, who has been going out with him since "Identity Crisis" is worried that he might be getting into too much trouble and putting himself at risk. At one point, when Spidey tracks down the Hobgoblin, he unmasks him to see that it's Ned Lee. Ned, however, doesn't remember anything, and insists that he's innocent, even though he was wearing the goblin costume and traces of Globulun Green were found in his system.

During this time, Gwen and Mary Jane are in a competition to be the next young model for a line of teen fashion wear sponsored by Kingsley's cooperation. While there, both of them stumble on him having a conversation and discover that Roderick Kingsley is actually his twin brother Daniel. Daniel, in a panic, kidnaps both of them, and takes them to Hobgoblin, who is revealed to be the real Roderick Kingsley. Spidey comes in for the rescue, and both Kingsley brothers are incarcerated, and Ned (whom Kingsley framed because he was getting too close to uncovering the truth) is proven innocent.

Gwen, realizing she can't keep seeing Harry out of pity, finally decides to break up with him and her and Peter get together. This, however, causes friction between Peter and Harry. Likewise, Mary Jane, who had become closer friends with Peter since his break up with Liz, and who wanted to help Peter and Gwen get together, finds that she, too, has fallen in love with him. Oh, and we find out that Donald Menken arranged it for Roderick Kingsley to be arrested and for Spider-Man to capture him, and that Menken has been receiving his orders from Norman Osborn this whole time.

I'm thinking this could easily be a four episode story arc, although I'd be hard pressed as to what the "educational theme" for each title, such architecture and construction for the Master Planner arc, or Drama for the last three episodes of season 2, would be this time.

Yea i would like if they make it be kingsley and i but they would. But it would be nice to add in the ned lee(ned leeds) stuff from the comics too.

It should be Kingsley. Otherwise I don't see a point in his introduction. Besides, in SM:TAS we already got a Macendale Hobgoblin, so now we can try something else.

Aside of that, though, I'm a bit worried that they used a lot of the Kingsley Hobgoblin elements with the Green Goblin. I mean, he found a way to remove the madness and lack of control (by inhaling the Globulin instead of drinking it), he framed someone else by putting him in the costume and when he was seemingly defeated, he retreated to some nice tropic islands. What's left that won't seem repetitive if they go for a comic accurate depiction of the Hobgoblin?

I want the Hobgoblin mystery to be as elaborate as possible and last multiple seasons. It should involve everyone it did in the comics, with Roderick Kingsley ultimately revealed as the true mastermind. After all, if you pay very close attention during Accomplices (including the ending credits!), you will notice that Daniel has already appeared. :)

Of course, in season 4 I can see them convincing the audience beyond any doubt that Ned Lee is the real Hobgoblin, only to have the truth revealed later. Not that they'd have to try too hard, since the majority of Spider-Man fans out there still think that Ned was the Hobgoblin.

However, I would prefer it they keep Macendale out of it. If they use him, it should only be as Jack O'Lantern.

maybe unmasking Ned in season 3 and in season 4 Roderick returns as Hobgoblin as well as Green Goblin so we can have Goblin war.

I think, if possible, include Ned Leeds, and, obviously, Roderick Kingsley.

Roderick Kingsly, Harry Osborn, Norman Osborn and Ned Lee should be main part of the Goblin War with the characters tryng to find out who is the Hobgoblin. Mabye there should be two Green Goblin which one is Harry and one is Norman. Norman Osborn should find out that Peter Parker is Spider-man at the end and the Roderick Kingsley is revealed to be Hobgoblin and either Harry or Norman dies at the end for real this time so that Norman or Harry swears revenge at Peter.

Characters that should be involved with the Hobgoblin arc are: Ned Lee, Roderick Kingsley, and Daniel Kingsley.

Double post.

Wasn't Flash Thompson part of the mystery of the Hobgoblin? If so, then include him, too.

^yea he was. he calls Hobgoblin coward on tv. so Roderick kidnaps him and frames him. but in the comics it was clearly shown that Roderick kidnaps Flash, so it wasnt such a mystery.
