Sequels Who should be the final villain of the trilogy?

GG should maybe kill Gwen halfway through TASM3. That way, it would give more time for the death to sink in and affect Peter, and intensify his hatred for the Goblin.

I also agree there needs to be a second story arc to the film series. I say avoid using Doc Ock for now, but maybe he can organize the Sinister Six using the villains they don't kill from the other films.

I don't think GG should be held off for TASM3. I don't think the trilogy should end with Gwen's death, since that sort of reminds me of another movie that ended a series on a depressing note *cough* Spider-Man 3.

If they follow nolans batman films, and have his greatest classic foe GG thats fine with me i love that idea. Give GG a look that works and doesnt look like a power rangers villian.

But you must have a Two-Face in ASM2. Kraven the hunter works perfect for that.

Soi just hope all this venom spin off is a smoke cloud. I dont think venom on film with out spidey works at all. Venom is my favorite villian and just beg for it.

I know I am opening myself up to the greatest retaliation of all here... But Venom is a stupid, childish choice for a villain, and is the one thing I would remove completely from Spider-Man history. He is a "gritty" "edgy" villain that is a by product of the 80s and should have been forgotten long ago, but edgy-friends won't let him go, because they need a physical element of darkness and can't understand the emotional darkness of Spidey. The worst part of it is that he could be awesome. But the portrayal of him is what really ruins it. Eddie Brock is a great character, but when he turns, he loses all his personality in the presentation of the "costume" The reason he COULD be a good villain is because he is great power with no responsibility, and he is fueled by vengeance. He knows who Pete is, and he should be a cunning, calculating villain like the Goblin, but is more often than not portrayed as a generic, mindless hulk. The look doesn't make the enemy- The personality does, and Venom rarely has any. He is a bad villain, and you should feel bad.

Gwen shouldn't have to die at the end of the movie though. I think having her die midway through the film giving some weight to Parker's vengeance on the Goblin leading to that inevitable battle. Still I do think Goblin should die making Harry angry hence his taking upon the mantle going after Spidey in a future film.

The problem I noticed with the Rami series is that it seemed like the writers tried cramming everything in just to move onto the next thing. villains came and went, everything and everyone was connected with Peter, making it seem like a small world. When they could go past a trilogy with these charecters if they added a little variety into it. Go with the main story being Peter searching for info about his parents, leaving Oscorp as the antagonist while adding a few stand alone movies with villains that have no connection to Peter, mabye throwing in a casual convo about some rumor about said villain into the previous movies to have that charecter established as already being instead of having an infamous origin story every movie. Then when it's time for gwen's demise it will have an even bigger impact.

I think it would be awesome if we get get goblin in the new few films. He's a mastermind for the 2nd/3rd and final baddie for the 3rd/4th. I really wanna see Kraven after all the acrobatics they did for the first film. That just screamed parkour fight.

Mysterio could work. We could have him mess with Peter about Gwen's death. And after Mysterio is defeated Peter is able to accept the fact that she's gone and move on with his life, and date Mary Jane.
He could also team up with another villain to give it more action, like Kraven or Shocker.

Venom(or rather the symbiote) and the Black cat always go together for me as villians. I don't mean as a team up,but just to have both in the same film. I think I base alot of that after SSM,when black suited Spidey and the Black cat worked well together. The symbiote brings out the dark side of Peter and Black cat(in a way)does that too.

If Osborn is the villain in the sequel and he kills Gwen, then I think an adaption of Kraven's Last Hunt would be interesting.

Its a more intimate story and threat for Peter and its themes (essentially coming to terms with your own death and the death of those close to you) fit in perfectly with the aftermath of Gwen's death.

If Goblin is in the next one and they're killing off Gwen, then Venom is my pick for the 3rd. Unless they don't want to bring back Venom until the trilogy is over with and decide to keep Emma Stone for 3 movies. Then i'll go with either Kraven or Electro for the next one, with Norman Osbourne as a vital part of the story. Then the full on Goblin vs Spidey film for #3.

I still think this trilogy deserves to be tighter and that's why the Goblin killing Gwen story should be done in the next one imo. Introduce Jameson as well.

Give us the Venom spin-off they keep yapping about and tie it into the 3rd movie somehow. Introduce Mary Jane Watson in the same movie. Keep Garfield for the 4th, maybe that's his final one before he moves on. But this would be a good time for Webb to drop out since the trilogy is done. New director for a riskier & darker film. You bring Carnage in and up the ante.

Then i wouldn't mind them rebooting again, no origin, but a new younger actor, different continuity where they can do a new trilogy based on the original sinister six.

I really personally find all of this insistence that Norman Osborne/The Green Goblin absolutely has to be the villain of TASM 2 to be rather silly, and firmly believe that he is actually best suited to be the main villain of TASM 3... particularly since he has not yet even shown up on-screen in this new trilogy.

Not only is that incredibly unfair to both the character and to Emma Stone, who did an amazing job, it's also incredibly stupid. I do think they will - and should - adapt 'The Night Gwen Stacy Died' for this trilogy, but there is absolutely no reason why it * HAS * to be adapted for TASM 2, as it would have just as much impact in TASM 3 as it would in TASM 2.

From what it sounds like, they want to break up this new film series into trilogy story arcs. Green Goblin will round out the villain of this arc, and end with the death of Gwen Stacey. After that, who knows? Honestly, I want to see Kraven's Last Hunt eventually, along with a Carnage movie, and even a Clone Saga film (the original one with the best elements of the new one).

Let's assume that the Green Goblin is the villain in TASM2. Who is a big enough villain to follow him in the final movie?

I would say Venom is an ideal choice, with maybe 1 smaller villain to be included in the movie.

Green Goblin is one of my favs and I have no prob seeing him again.

Mysterio I hope for 2 and maybe GG for 3 but looking to see more story for Gwen Stacey I actually would like to see The Jackal as a contender.
