According to this interview with Mike Costa, Peter's spider powers never returned.

Good interview. Sounds like this book in good hands (and not some flash-in-the-pan talent). Referencing Peter and MJ's move to Oregon means he really knows his continuity (now if only the colorist could stop making Ben's gloves all red, but I digress). I'm very excited for the book.
Speaking of Peter and MJ in Oregon, I lucked out at a comic shop recently and they had all these bound-together back issues from the Clone Saga. I guess they were having a sale on all things clone saga, so I was in nerd heaven. I got the complete Sensational Spider-Man run up until the end of the Savage Land arc (even though that was right after Ben died), a whole bunch of Spider-Man Unlimited and Spider-Man Team-Up issues, the complete Hobgoblin Lives mini (even though that was also post-Ben), the complete Redemption mini-series, complete Funeral for an Octopus, and my personal favorite rediscovery the complete 'Spider-Man: The Final Adventure' about Peter's "last" adventure in Portland when he thought he was the clone. I forgot how good it was. That, and Redemption are two forgotten gems. It was great to have all these books again.
