Long-ago thread returning from the dead... Seems apropos this week.

i think for the last big battle he'll be wearing the suit. therefore, my belief is that we shouldnt see it. we should just see the shirt rip and have it end....

so wait, do you want Welling to fight someone? or Clark?

I actually would love to see them do more than just a shirt rip for the final episode, even though that will probably be all they do.

If they did have a big battle, it should be between Lex and Clark. The best friends at the start having their first fight as bitter enemies.

They could end it with a Clark vs. Bizarro fight, including shirt-rips. Might end as some earlier posters hoped, but I don't see jello. Lana/Lois/Chloe, maybe, but not jello. They don't seem the type.

I think it just has to be Lex. They've built it as being all about these two, and this should the final fight should be the final nail in the coffin. Problem is if there is a season 8, Rosenbaum probably won't be coming back for it.

None of that (the first line) in here, please, unless you mean "kick in the butt into the jello and then join him". As for Ms. Durance - she would have been fab-u-lous with Routh in the movie. Hey, a Lois with a personality! Hey, a Lois who looks OLD enough to have had a kid *after* high school!

OK, back on topic. Yes, I think it'll most likely come down to Clark vs. Lex in the end, as that would make the most (circular) sense for the show, the series, the genre. At the same time, we know Clark won't completely vanquish Lex or else we'd have no future movies. Maybe Clark can send Lex to the Phantom Zone. Lex learns worse stuff from the prisoners. Lex comes back - for a movie! - with new, more devious tricks up his sleeve.

It should probably some larger than life villain but if they decide to use someone like Doomsday, these rules come into play:

1. Clark should not die, he's already been down that rode. At the most, he just needs to go into a comatose state & then come out of it due to having solar energy stored inside his body from the 18-20 years he's been on Earth.

2. Clark should have trained if he fights Doomsday, I don't want to see an almost totally inexperinced Clark going up against a beast like Doomsday. I want to see him at his peak for the fight & I want to see a bunch of fists thrown.

However, I highly doubt anyone like Doomsday or Darkseid will be used. I would love to see someone like Mongul used though. I wish that they could bring Zod back but instead of inhabiting Lex's body he inhabits someone else's body & comes back stronger than ever. Either way it goes, I want to see an epic villain, even if he's totally original. The villain needs to be a Titan, meaning he needs to be larger than any other villain to ever appear on the show. By larger I don't neccasarily mean size, I mean he needs to be as strong as Clark, as fast as Clark, & he needs to really be able to throw down.
