Whos a better Joker...Heth Ledger or Jack Nickolson?

I havent seen Dark Knight yet but who do u think makes a better joker? I know some ppl who think Nicholson is the best and if he was playing a more evil joker instead of a cartoony one then he would win hands down.

thye both have good points,and capture certain aspects of the Joker....

Nicholson: more of the "bigger than life" Joker,who would have the silly plots like making all the fish in Gotham have smiley faces,or killing people with hand buzzers...out to have a good time,and create mayhem,but doing it with flair and style....

Ledger: down and dirty Joker,who would be lurking down that dark alleyway,ready to tell you a joke while cutting your intestines out...nasty,more concerned with the end result of his mayhem than making sure he looks good doing it....sadistic...
