Why are cops such pricks?

Some cops are pricks, but some firefighters are pricks, too. Some teachers are pricks, and some doctors are pricks. Basically, what I am saying is that there are pricks out there, no matter what generalzation. To ask "why are cops such pricks" is a generalization, and a big one at that.

Perhaps it's that the prickiness that is found in all humans is intensified when you know that they have the legal power to considerably destroy your day.

Yep, you are right. Power can corrupt, like money can corrupt, etc.

Some people like having their day destroyed.

So HA!

Me and a few of my friends were sitting outside the door of a senior art show my work and some of theirs was being showcased in, because it was getting a little crowded in the gallery. This cop walks up and asks if any of us own some model of car, and we all responded that we didn't.
Cop: "Well, could one of you go in and ask if any of them do?"
Me: Well, it is open to the public...
Cop: Smartass. You little smartass.

And he proceeded inside to ask himself.
Oddly enough, I wasn't trying to be sarcastic, we're all just lazy and I knew that that cop was lazy too. My friends thought it was hilarious, but I was sort of embarassed.

Karma... it'll come back to you when he pulls you over for a speeding ticket.

you've just recieved the long c*ck of the law.

Good god I've never had hatred as strong as I do for cops. I ****ing hate cops. Every single cop I have ever encountered as been a complete *****e.

When a man has a gun and you don't, the prick nature slowly reveals itself.

I really do not think cops are anything but a very important necessity. Are all of them perfect; probably not but for the most part I find them to be helpful.

Got a rant somewhere about a ticket I got, why not here. So, got a notice in the mail earlier this week for a parking ticket I receieved a couple weeks ago, this isn't part of the rant, misread a sign my fault. I always wait for the notices before paying tickets in case the cop screws up somehow and the ticket doesn't register, so without opening the notice went online yesterday to pay and found out there's another parking ticket against my liscene. Went home last night and read the notice, it's for $100 at an address that doesn't even exist in the City of Chicago! What the hell! I know where I parked that day, I was parked in that spot for probably two weeks, I passed my car every day to and from work, never saw a ticket on the winsheild and know I was parked legally. Challenging the ticket, one the basis that the address on the ticket doesn't f'ing exist, just pissed that I'm even going to have to waste time doing this.
