Why Are Dentists Evil?

I need Catman to get this guy fired for charging me so much.

I am terrified of the dentist...seriously, I can't even drive by their office without my stomach and lungs twisting up :csad:

'fire. That's not healthy dude. See a shrink.

I don't need some bespectacled doofus, charging me my arms, legs and grandchildren, telling me his grand theories on why I'm afraid of the dentist.

What if your place of work moves into a building next to a dentist office?

2 ****ing grand for a trip to the dentist?!? Are you having a bubble or what?!?!

I'd rather put up with the pain than weigh out that sorta moolah.

I went to the dentist. Once. 8 years ago, when I was 6.

I loved it.

I had to have a root canal once. I was in pain before they numbed me, but after that I felt nothing and had no pain afterwards.

And this just reminds me I'm passed due for a check up.

It's usually several trips. :o I was blessed with bad teeth so a root canal and crown (or several..) is going to be part of my future. Best I can do it delay it as long as possible.

My sister had to get a root canal, and she's deathly afraid of dentists AND needles. So if she can do it, anybody can. :funny:

I had bad dentists as a kid. Lucked out later on. Or maybe that's because I'm a scientist and I demand things be explained and shown to me. :hehe: I knew I couldn't trust the dentist who told me I needed 4 of my molars crowned - I couldn't see the "gray part" on the x-ray she was talking about, so I went to several more dentists who advertised free consultations. All of them said it looked fine, so I'm glad I got that second opinion! 4 years later, my teeth are still doing okay.

I've never had a cavity, thankfully. But the thing I hate most is routine cleaning. The last time I went, the dentist bruised the HELL outta my gums by scraping around too roughly...it was really gross, the tissue filled with blood and my mouth hurt for days.

No one hurts Pickles :cmad:

I certainly hope Spoons took revenge.

Any person that makes a career out of inserting appendages and/or objects into peoples orifices should be considered evil, and will promptly be destroyed.

That's cool.

How much would it of cost to get your 4 molars crowned? A lot I imagine?

You did well by getting second opinions.

It's a disgrace that people in the health service would try to stitch you up.

My dentist is awesome......he actually has more kids as patience than adults. lol, all of the rooms have cartoons on the wall. But, he's cool, very good....very little pain so far in anything that he's done, which has included, deep cleaning (which is usually a *****), a filling, and pulled tooth....after swelling that made me look like the elephant man, lol.

At least $4,000, I imagine.

It probably happens more often than you think - both dentists and doctors are not infallible. They just make educated guesses as to what's happening to you and it's up to you to judge if it's reasonable. I have an advantage since I have a biology background, but I think it would be helpful if everyone had some basic knowledge about how their body works.

Just keeping it cool, and nobody getting in trouble....:cwink:
