Why Are So Many People Fearing The Trilogy Curse??

Look Who's Directing!!...Sam 'Evil Dead Trilogy' Raimi, this man has managed to make three movies in a series that had big potential to be crap after the first movie and yet he made all 3 as equally as awesome possibly the 3rd being the best IMO!

I can't see why so many people are already doubting his ability to finish a triology in the same way he started it...awesome! I even remotely understood the doubt when brett ratner came along for X3 even though i also believed he should get a chance as well, (i think he did a decent job).

I just think we should really trust raimi, he hasn't led many films wrong yet...(can anyone else claim to getting katy holmes boobs out?).

and some people are actually waiting to see a peter parker reminiscent of the one we've been reading about.

I'm all dandy for adaptation but movie parker has very lil of the character he's based on still intact, it's like watching a stranger in a spidey costume, and it just might get worse.

especially considering the changes made to x3 and how well that apparently went down with everyone...

I´m not, i´m expecting it to be more of the same, meaning, in the same vein as both previous Spider-Man movies.

And that means, good/great movies, but could have been a lot better, and extremely overrated.
How do i know that?
Because it´s Raimi on the helm...

first off, I’d like to state that its not 3rd of a trilogies that are usually bad, trilogy are usually the loop whole in the sequel rules. I don't think there trying to wrap this up as a trilogy, they will probably try for a fourth. but, I don't believe in the whole 3rd movie curse, in most cases where the 3rd movie of a movie series turns out bad its because of a change in director’s or the studio looking to reformat the movies style, which I have not seen in this movie, I am not worried.

With three of the top movies of 2007 being a 3rd film.... Spider-Man looks like it won't fall into "third film" category....

Film's that might fall under "3rd films aren't great" category:
POTC3- started filming with only a 'outline' (not a finished script)
SHREK3- Looks like they might have used their best ideas for the 2nd film

it started with the first one , then the second one. those aren't spider man to me. even in fan photos topher seems more like peter parker then tobey will ever be. same goes towards howard seems more like MJ then hunch back holmes.
