Can Spider-man break the "Third Superhero movie" curse?

I predict a batman-forever type of movie.

Flawed but has some extremely cool parts that overshadow the flaws.
Nah, I see this as the first time in history that the third part of a superhero franchise doesn't suck.

I think this movie will be better than the first but not as good as the second, meaning it will still be great.

3 will be awesome, Sam will make it awesome. It's like putting Spidey in God's hands.

:D:up:

This movie will be awesome.Sam has done a great job with the franchise so far, and I have no doubt that the third installment is no exception.

What would you do if it flopped though? Hate Spidey forever?
And Im concerned by the wait for SM4....should'nt be too long. We need to get the whole story done soon people!

I don't know, but this may be superstitious, but it seems like when someone makes a comparison to God, God likes to screw it over, just for spite.

For example,

"God himself cannot sink the Titanic" and Boom!

Comparing Raimi to God, I don't know, God may just make it a sucky movie to spite people like that.

Meanwhile... I like Batman Returns Better than Batman Begins. But I really do like Begins, pretty good.

And, as old a horse as this is to beat, I will anyway. I don't think Raimi has made a completely flawless set of Spidey movies. He's made good choices, but bad ones too. Sink Spidey's intelligence and humor just to punch up his angst-ridden youthful angsty-ness? Doc Ock is basically a "good" person who is mindcontrolled by his evil tentacles?

But, these decisions haven't sunk the movies, they've stayed afloat regardless. But if this Uncle Ben Flint Marko thing is true, I don't know. That might be what sinks it for me. It just seems so... "Joker Killed Batman's Parents."

well after pirates was "eh" im getting scared for this one.

It has a strong chance: same director, crew, cast, etc.

I confidently can say it will. Look back at the other franchises and they all had a change of director's. X3 could of been great if Bryan Singer had stayed. As long as Raimi is at the helm, then I can expect great things. If he decides to continue with the franchise, that'd even be better.

Everyone has their views of course . In Sam's case, his Spidey movies are getting better. I believe he'll do what's best for the 3rd. Ok then, instead of God, it's like putting the ball in Michael Jordan's hands, you should see the many people who put their hands on top of their head when he had the ball in the final seconds at the '98 finals with Utah. That's Sam Raimi to the other superhero directors, a lot of anticipation and you know he's gonna make it.

There is no stupid curse just lazy studios, greed, and horrible scripts/material. If Superman 3 or Blade Trinity had been as good as the prior films they'd have raked in the dough.

I don't get this equation you've pulled out of your backside. Tim Burton's BATMAN was far superior to BATMAN RETURNS, I get what you mean about Superman, though. I must say that I'm shocked at some people's negativity towards the first Sipdey film - look what a great franchise it's set off. It might have had its flaws, but all films do. The first film had many things in it that I liked but the second one lacked. I thought the second film was amazing and had its stronger areas than spiderman 1. they were different films but spidey 1 i've found can be forgiven any discrepancies because it was the first time we seen spidey done good. the third film should rock - same teams working on it, and from what we've seen, it's following a classic storyline that at one point all of us would have wanted to happen.
