Why Can't DC Get it right?

The Question - I think you could do a really great detective/conspiracy film
Zatanna
Green Arrow
Booster Gold - could be a great comedy/action film
The Flash
Young Justice
Wonder Woman
Lobo - I know its in development, but I dont think its going to get made
The BlackHawks - awesome WW2 movie
Sgt. Rock

Agree with every single one of them. I can't believe I forgot The Question and Zatanna though.

I'd add Doom Patrol and The Spectre to the mix...

The Spectre could quite easily be half arsed and be piss poor (although what concept couldn't...) though...

And I think a lot of people are sleeping on just how popular Doom Patrol is amongst an older gen, which is a bit harder to get in the gates to start with, whilst introducing a lot of the younger gen to them in the process...

Just out of curiousity, who would be the 10 you would rather see. I can name only 8 for me that includes films that haven't been made into movies, haven't been released, or won't be spinoffs though.

Green Lantern
Wonder Woman
Flash
Green Arrow
Teen Titans
New Gods
Spectre
Aquaman

You didn't ask me, but I can name 10 I'd rather see...

Sandman (including Wesley Dodd and Death spin offs)
Wonder Woman
Aquaman
Kid Eternity
100 Bullets
Transmetropolitan
The American Way
DMZ
Y: The Last Man
Ex Machina
Fables
100 Bullets
Preacher
The Invisibles
Shazam

I'll stop there, but Hawkman is pretty down on the list.

Johnny Depp as Spider Jerusalem HAS to happen at some stage...

The Flash
Wonder Woman
Aquaman
Green Arrow
Captain Marvel
Teen Titans
Birds of Prey
Lobo
The Sandman
Y the Last Man
Booster Gold
Legion of Superheroes
Static Shock
Supergirl
Suicide Squad
Manhunter
The Question
Fables
Starman
Swamp Thing
Deadman

All of those I can see being better movies than Hawkman.

Wow, I'm curious to see what would be below Hawkman on your list. Hawkgirl?

In fact, what would be the worst DC hero that wouldn't transfer well to film. I'm guessing it would be an E-list character.

I'm thinking a Jimmy Olsen film without Superman would be the worst.

Actually, you know what....after reading the post from the guy who suggested hawkman, hes got a point. Hawkworld would be a good movie to translate to screen, but honestly, if i were a general audience member and not a comic fan, id be hard pressed to see the appeal in hawkman too.

Dr. Light: The monster within (my pants)

I think he means the female asian dr light with the snooty attitude

I could name 10 DC properties that are more interesting than the Question... :cwink:

and that's fine....I just happen to think The Question would translate well and it would probably be tons easier to make

I think they should have expanded Mr Terrific into his own series in the comics and movieverse. He's like DC Comics Black Panther.

and Marvel has done **** all with Black Panther....couldn't even get an animated series out properly

I like Mr. Terrific and I think it'd be nice to get a black hero out there

I dunno where the negativity for Question comes from, Seeing as how The Question was one of, if not the breakout character on one of the greatest comic cartoons ever made, starring superman, batman, wonder woman, green lantern, flash, aquaman, green arrow, etc. I mean, if only for a live action version of this scene would i prefer a question movie to many potential properties:

I dunno, I like Terrific, but I'm not too interested in seeing him in a solo movie.

A great black hero to put on screen would be Static, as he had a very popular cartoon, a cool personality, and very simple powers.

The animated series was frigged up by Hudlin vision, but Panther has the chance to be the 1st black superhero movies because there's no black character as cool as he is.

Now Dr Fate - is he good enough to have a solo movie?

I'm not sure Dr. Fate or Dr. Strange can carry a movie by themselves...

Well Dr Strange need a good recognizable actor like Johnny Depp. Dr Strange has an advantage over Dr Fate because he doesn't wear any "corny" mask.

That's true. Also, I will say that Strange has a more fleshed out supporting cast than fate, as well as an archnemesis of sorts. maybe if they base it on that brian k vaughn mini that came out a few years ago they might have something there.
