Who is "we"? What is the audience you believe you speak for? There are those who like the Black Panther character but still don't like the idea of him marrying Storm. The Panther has been around since 1966 and has a large following of readers. He doesn't need a marriage to Storm to make him popular. As for X-men fans, it does't mean a rat's f..t who Storm marries. It doesn't mean she still can't be affiliated with the x-men.

Fine, but why Storm?I have heard arguments from people who like and dislike the marriage.Im starting to think this may be a plot to get Black Panther onto the X-Men...

We dont like him,Marvel`s just forcing him into the spotlight by putting him with Storm.

We?

Oooookay.

For me that's like saying,.... No,.. I'm getting irritated - Nevermind.

("we" tsk)

PS Galactus isn't white for who ever actually said that:o

Depowered, (See his last appearance in FF), He's a bald white Guy in a Bad suit with a piss-poor 'tude.

In those cases I dont think it was about white people specifically accomplishing these things. Thats not what those stories were about. It was about a person accomplishing those things. That white baby didnt do better than the native africans cause he was white it was cause he was raised by apes. thats what the story was about.

The fact that these characters were white was because the writer was white and it's easier to visualize a character that way. I'm a writer myself and I find it far more difficult to write black or asian or female characters than I do white male characters. This is because i'm a white male (should i apologise?) and i'm more familiar with the life of a white male than i am of the lives of other kinds of people.

It's not like the writer consciously decides "well this character would be better if he was white cause a black guy raised by apes isnt believable" or "a white guy would be better" it's just that you write what you know.
I think my point stands becuase the above is accepted w/o comment,.. And The Panther, Cage, Blade, When written by black writers is dragged up under harsh scrutiny by in most cases white fanboys who declare that it's no possible,.. it's not plausible, it's not believable in part because the character is black.

Ever read the Street Lethal series by Steven Barnes?

Black Protagonist.
Great story.

Too bad it gets ignored.

it was stated a while back in comics that he takes the form of whoever sees him. To a Caucasian he appears caucasian, to a African american he appears african american...to Klingon's he appears Klingonese.

That's Galan not Galactus

Regardless its been SHOWN and STATED more than once (most recently in the Beta ray bill mini) through the years that Galactus appearance is different and unique to every species

Which is kinda messed up when you think about it. As a species, humanity sees him as this giant, purple helmet having, white guy. Blacks, Asians, Native Americas all see the apocalypse in the form of a giant white guy with a bad fashion sense. Makes you think doesn't it?

Not really

After all the grimm reaper is a flying black guy on Ski's

Or a White Goth Chick with a sunny disposition.

Now come now Guyver, surely you've read Sandman?

I haven't, my knowledge on the endless is limited at best

Well, that's Death, and she's the physical embodiment of well.... Death. She's actually a really nice person, what with being Death and all. While the Black Racer might be a Grimm Reaper, at least he isn't actually, death. He's just some guy who works for her.

I love busting Jormugand's balls everytime he posts. He constantly does not realize how stupid he sounds everytime he says something, which is usually stupid.

Well what I like most about Black Panther is that hes regal, sophisticated, yet dangerous. His costume is awesome and everythign about him is cool. He speaks eloquently and is clearly one of the smartest minds in the Marvel Universe. And he doesnt go around saying stuff like "youre straight trippin' boo".........

Every other single of BP I've read,Hudlin has always portrayed T'Challa as a real noble guy of character. Was that straight trippin' boo line from House of M?I didn't read House of M,but was everyone's personality the same as a result of Wanda's tampering?

I believe the line he used was "I'm reminded of that american song when I think of her, "You got me stright trippin boo." " innocent really.

That House of M tie in issues was pretty good though. He cut off Sabertooths head and sent it to Magneto in a hat box. Plus he killed Apocolypse. (Well, he had help, but it was his plan.)

Aha!Now that you bring it up,it was the House of M tie-in issue. The one with Sabes on the cover,I think.

Yeah, good issue.:(

except for the "Stright trippin boo" line right?

I finally got around to buying #14 a week ago or so,and I was really surprised.

I've only started following BP's titles at around issue 9 and i've been liking it a lot so far. I've always loved BP as an avenger. As far as the "straight trippin boo" thing goes. I just assumed it was a bit of humor. I prefer characters to have a sense of humor. Batman is brilliant, rich, skilled and all that crap but he never even cracks a smile and that makes me kinda hate him.
BP on the other hand is brilliant, rich, noble, skilled, respected, and LIKEABLE. which makes him one awesome character.
