Transformers Why does the "black guy" always die first in a movie?

I don't know if anyone pointed this out here yet, but actually, the kind of nerdy "white guy" died first. He was stabbed by Scoponok.

Well i don't know why Jazz was killed off. He is one of the top autobots. OP, BB, Jazz, Smokescreen and Blaster were used on a regular basis in the cartoon and the only autobots that I could actually remember their names. On the Decipticons side it was Megs, SS, Soundwave, and his little buddies Rumble, Laserbeak and ravage and Thundercracker. The rest I remembered vaguly but not their names, but I did remeber The Constructicons vividly, which was due that they could combined into one superbot, although I couldn't remember names save for Mixer and that the big bot was called Devestator.

I hope jazz is brought back in the next one.

I have no problem with Jazz breakdancing and being a baffoon as his INTRO (his intro!!! I mean, come on! haven't you people seen old Minstrel shows?!). But Ironhide should have broken out into into Achy Breaky Heart and done a line dance too. Then it'd be fair.

I understand that they gave each one of these robots personalities. I think with a stronger script, and more dialogue and exchange between the robots, each one would have been more appreciated. I seriously don't see Jazz dying as being a racist or "typical" thing, in this movie. I am fully aware it is rampant in other movies, but so is the "lame white guy" thing I brought up before.

Now, if while Megatron was ripping Jazz in half he said "I want you in pieces, darkie." than I would agree. But he didn't and don't see how someone can get offended by it. Guess I don't understand or see it that way. I thinks this topic was started as a shallow attempt to cause an arguement, and most of the people on this board that i know of are flame ******ent.

Yea seriously, I am ashamed for arguing in this thread. The movie obviously wasn't racist and it's silly for anyone to argue about it. Everyone forgets about all the white people killed in the movie or the Deciptons that were voiced by white people, that was really the point I was trying to make. And before anyone says anything in reference to that statement, I'm African-American myself....

And since Jazz had the personality of a brotha, which was fairly obvious during his introduction, I thought it would be fairly accurate in classifying him as that. I was just making reference to Jazz being the only Autobot to die out of all of them. Sure, Bumblebee was injured, but if anything, I would think Ironhide would be the first to go, since he had such a gung-ho attitude about violence and hand to hand combat, and not Jazz.

I guess if its any consolation, at least Jazz got taken out by none other than Megatron himself. It's just a shame that if a sequel is made, he won't be back...

at least Jazz kicked some ass before he died. and he went down giving megatron hell. good for him.
