Why is everyone obsessed with seeing Cerebro's doors?

Am I missing something here? What's the big deal/signficance of seeing Cerebro's doors? Or is this a reference to a certain scene in the movie like the clip I've seen with Jean blasting open the doors.

I'm lost. I just don't get what the big deal is about seeing doors. We've seen the doors in the other movies plenty of times.

The Cerebro doors have been at the beginning of X-Men 1 and 2 and its just nice if they are in X-Men 3...continuity...

Oh...at the beginning of each movie. Well now it makes more sense I guess.

It gets my juices flowing, that's why.

Cerebro isnt even in X-Men 3 but we still like the doors :)

Yea, in terms of the X-Men movies, the Cerebro door opening sequence is in line with Star Wars' "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." opening, or the James Bond gunbarrel opening.

Granted, the Cerebro doors might not be as famous as those other openings, but in terms of movie trademarks, the Cerebro door opening sequence is to X-Men what James Bond gunbarrel is to James Bond.

i love the cerebro doors. accordin to lex, who reviewed today, its in the movie but after the 2 flashbacks usually its right at the begining. i know obsessing over the door is stupid, but if it isnt in it i can see myself nitpicking on it and going Y CUDNT THEY HAVE JUS ADDED IT ,IT WUDA MADE THE MOVIE BETTER even tho it really doesnt affect the movie.

I totally understand now. I just didn't get that it was like the rising text to Star Wars and the gun/blood to James Bond. Now I get it.

I think I could live with it like that.

Instead of an Xavier monologue, and a CGI graphics sequence, we have a couple flashbacks.

Then we go to the CGI credits sequence, and the Cerebro doors.

It is a bit different, but it's consistant enough for my tastes.

To be honest, it does kind of make sense...

Jean's monologue at the end of X2 was the same exact monologue Xavier gave at the beginning of X-Men... almost a "bringing it full circle" kind of thing.

So instead of monologues, we use a flashback to tell the story before the story.

Works for me.

yah it definently works. i wonder if like 5 year old kids who see these movies wen there like teenagers will even be able to notice a change of directors since the continuity is so good here.
