TV shows like the fresh prince of bel air seldom had a white character in it, much less one who was a leading white character. White people do not complain over this.

Yet when a film is released a minority of black people find away to call said film racist, for example-

Home Alone- It's racist, wheres the black person?

Superbad- Wheres the black person?

Spider-man 3- Spidey puts on a black costume, becomes bad, it's racist.

Transformers- Barricade is voiced by a black person, Barricade is bad, Racist sterotype that all black people are bad.

These are just a selection i found on the net. Now i know this is a minority of black people that say this but it's still pretty annoying.

I used to work at my local Odeon cinema around 8 years ago.Every saturday night was heaving, we had showings of the most popular Asian films, now these films are long so to cash in the movie would have a interval, the cinema selling a selection of Indian food hoped the asian public would nip out and pay for this, it worked. Thing is you'd get loads of people trying to sneak inat the interval who 'forgot' there ticket or threw it away. Without a ticket i was told not to let them back in. the responce i got was 'your racist, you wont let me in cos i am black'

No, it's because you dont have a ticket. I'd do exactly the same thing to any other person.

In no way am i racist, not at all but why (again to a minority) must everything come down to the colour of there skin?

I did not create this thread to bash black people, like i said i'm not racist, it just really bothers me how some black people can turn so many things around.

it's not just racism or just minorities that do this. when people feel oppressed they'll look for anything to complain about in it. racism is just an easy excuse.

I'm still trying to get how RE5 is racist because you fight black people. As for why it comes to claims of racism in real life, my only thought is that it's easy to draw attention to a personal woe if you make a vague claim of racism. For example, the issue I brought up; everyone's used to violent video games to the point where bringing them up barely gets a rise anymore. But the moment race becomes a subject (even if it's not intended to be negative) you can cash in the "that's racist" card and make a scene. It's then that the people behind this have crossed a line...and not the other times when heads get blown off and hookers get killed, I guess.

You can go on a spiel about how it's today's times, but I think it's a bad yet consistent part of human nature to latch onto excuses that bring attention to our plight (whether it's a real or imaginary struggle). It's sort of sad, when you think about it; there's still cases where folks could make a legitimate claim, yet we hardly hear about them anymore in the sea of "crying wolf" incidents.

I don't think those blacks that complaint about situations they feel are racially motivated are doing it to bother you so don't take it personally.

It your perception that the complaints are without merit while the perception of blacks who do complaint feel that there is definitely merit.

Whose to say who is right and who is wrong? Even that would be a matter of perception.

I say not to let it bother you as long as you know you aren't racist and you know you are not doing anything to be perceive that way because actions speak louder than words.

If not racism it would be something else. Blondes v. brunettes, tall v. short, skinny v. fat, rich v. poor, dumb v. stupid, insane v. not insane, etc..

You racist! :cmad:
I'm sorry, I just had to say it.

Some people just want to pull out the race card. It makes it easy for them to argue with you.

It's a double standard, whatevs.

I couldn't care less, people are going to b**ch about stuff until the end of time.

Really everything comes down to death and taxes anyway.

Because, it is imprinted in ones DNA... if one understands the Mythology of Religious Text, including the Bible.

Where the hell is Winston? :cmad:

Babies aren't born racist, they're taught it.

:whatever: That is the most dumbest, most ridiculus, most idiotic, most unscientific, political correct, thing I have heard in my life. It ashame that a huge percentage of people believe that.... or pretend to believe that.

Where the hell were the white people in Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins???!!!?!?!

In all seriousness though, I understand what you mean and I think its rediculous as well.

So you honestly believe that there is a gene or human condition that causes people to be racist from birth?

You think racist people dont choose to be racist????

Again, it is imprinted in ones DNA... if one understands the Mythology of Religious Text, including the Bible. It is a scientific property of natural instincts.

I wonder what twists and turns this thread is gong to take.

Racism is an ideology. Ideologies are a "science of ideas." As such, you are taught or autodidacted racism. The idea that people are genetically predisposed to be racist has never been proven in the scientific community, so I'd love to see how it's "ridiculus" (spelling error preserved for posterity).
