Why Must Everything Come Down To Racism?

He would have settled for a gentle (yet firm) pat on the ass....

Well either..

a: you're not making much sense

or

b: we know exactly what you posted and are shocked by your claim

I like to believe it's answer B.

However, if you don't understand, it is to much to try to give you all backgroung information, scientific data, links, etc. If you don't subscribe to what I'm saying, fine. However, to answer the question, :why must everything come down to racism"... that's my answer.

All I can say to you all, without getting long winded, is that you either lack the understanding of what I said or you are simply not honest with yourself. Eitherway, I suspect what I could say, will have no bearing on anyone core belief anyhow.

Or you could just reword it so it makes sense.

So you're basically saying, "I'm smart but am too lazy to explain why I'm so smart...so to hell with you all".

I'm too lazy to be PC so I'll just say shutup. Thanks. :woot:

No, not at all. I just don't see the need to argue over something that has a clear line of disagreement.

It's like arguing over Evolution.... you either believe it or you don't.

No matter the amount of discussion or evidence shown, one's argument is going to be one's argument.

No, what he is saying is:

Racism is genetic and you will not understand how this is fact because you have somehow chosen not to see said fact.

I find this hilarious, just like his claim.
It's also a justification of everything concerning racism in our history because it frankly says, hey you racist people and everyone who has ever been racist,
it's ok dudes, it's in your genes.

I don't think many of us even understand your point though

I guess I don't have it in my genes since I'm not racist.

Well CS, the flip side to that statement, people are not honest with themselves... as I have stated earlier. I have heard it all before.

On one hand, people say, "It is not genetically instintive; but is taught". While on the other hand, "Everybody have some prejudices in them". Which one is it?

In many cases, people are simply not honest with themselves. I will just leave it at that.

I def agree with the double standard you pointed out. I just don't think there's much scientific evidence behind racism. It's def more nurture than nature IMO.

The only natural thing I can think of even associated with any sort of racism is one's social standing; to be with those that are like you. But even that can be altered due to upbringing.

The statement "Everybody has some prejudices in them" is usually made in regards to one's upbringing. It's the belief that we all have some degree of bias and/or racial prejudice towards others. That has nothing to do with DNA, which is the realm of scientific fact. That has to do with a mentality that is supposedly learned, and is a statement that is neither wholeheartedlly accepted by science nor the general public.

Both of those statements seem to be "taught," in my opinion. People have prejudice because they are influenced by their surroundings. I don't call that "genetics" at all.

Well, keep in mind... "many things that are by nature, is nurtured".

A great philosopher said that, his name escapes me right now.

Wanting to be with others like yourself hardly means you have to dislike people that are different though. I see what you mean though

Exactly, ignorance/the unknown often brings hatred and/or fear. I grew up around every race, grew up in many different places around the world, know the histories of many cultures and where they stand today. I have absolutely no reason to be racist.

I support the belief that racist is taught rather than built into one's genes, but i have seen a study where a group of young children from all races around the age 4 or 5 were individually asked to choose between playing with a black doll and a white doll. Out of the 21 children, 15 preferred the white doll over the black one. Then, when they were asked which was the "bad" or "scary" looking one, a majority chose the black baby. Now while this doesn't exactly prove whether the children were taught to think this way, or are just born with that mindset, i still find it shocking these types of racist beliefs exist in children at an early age.

What was the majority skin color of those 21 kids?
