I know everyone is infatuated with Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury, I'm not. I dare everyone to voice their opinion as to why Jackson should not be Nick Fury. Everyone is in love with Jackson. A lot of people believe that Jackson is the greatest actor of all time. Actors like Brad Pitt, John Wayne, Johnny Depp, Willian Holden, Humphrey Bogart, and Spencer Tracy are way better actors than Sam Jackson. I know a lot of people may be too scare to post, but I still dare you.

I agree with you statement. I for one thing, refused to see this movie or any other superhero movie that has Sam Jackson as Nick Fury. I'll just stay with the X-Men, Batman, Spider-Man, Green Lantern, and Superman movies. At least these movies focus to some degree on the source material of the character. I hope that this movie turns out to be another Catwoman movie and that it does fail. Hopefully, it will fail because of Sam Jackson. Whether or not you want to admitted or not to yourself, a person's race is a very important factor in the U.S.A. I will try to convince everyone that I speak with, not to see this movie. You can call me a racist all you want, but I have the right to voice my opinion. The people that run this board may have the right to censor this paragraph, even though they may be violating my civil rights as an American citizen. They will never have the power to control my way of thinking.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. I'm still gonna watch this movie and every movie Marvel makes and hope they're just as good as I'm sure they will be and make tons of money so they keep making them. Would I have preferred a 616 Fury over Sam Jackson? Of course, but that's not gonna ruin the movie for me.

I actually kind of like the Ultimate line of comics, I just don't want to see the movies based off them too much. A little bit here and there isn't going to bother me. It's just when they completely make the character the Ultimate version, like Fury, that irks me.

And I shouldn't say I completely dislike Jackson. I think he's good when Tarantino directs him and I think he's alright in roles where he doesn't pretty much play himself. I thought he was good in Star Wars and Black Snake Moan and I'm looking forward to seeing him as a pirate in the movie he just signed on to but it's the movies where he plays himself that I don't like.

Quit complaining and grow up. If you have noting to contribute to this site but SLJ bashing, then just leave. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but repeating it as much as you do is simply infantile.

How would you feel if Sam Jackson had a lot of screen time in Iron Man or any other Marvel movie? If he had 30 minutes or more in the films. I will probably go see Iron Man II, but every time Sam Jackson is on the screen, I will be disguised with Jackson, and have some sense of betrayal from Marvel Entertainment. He sign a nine picture deal with Marvel and that's fine. He signed on the dotted line because he is having financial problems. Apparently, he can not manage his money. The man will be 61 yrs this December and people want him to be Nick Fury. So we are gone to have a 70 yrs Nick Fury in nine years. I DO NOT like him as NICK Fury and never will accept him in the role, no matter how poplar he has become.

They're almost a perfect match.
SLJ is a great actor, better than Depp, IMO.

John Wayne a great actor? :hehe: Yea the guy is a legend...at playing the same character over and over and over...

Jackson is a decent actor, and the Ultimate Nick Fury was modeled on him so...

Yeah, I was thinking that when I first saw it
"Did the guy basically just look at SLJ and give him a gun and eye patch?".

I love complaining and I'm not going nowhere. I may be shallow and annoying, but who isn't. I have a very aggressive personality and a very right wing Republican political views. I will voice my opinion and scream it to the mountain top. I will repeat and voice my dislike of Sam Jackson as Nick Fury until Hollywood finds another actor.

John Wayne is an American Icon. You're gone to put Sam Jackson in the same league as John Wayne. Are you kidding me!!!! I hope you don't tell that to your grandfather or another elderly person, you may get slap.

John Wayne was a legend yea, but he wasn't a great actor. You can't put him in the same bracket as the likes of Bogart and co, no way.

And I ain't American anyway :D

1) :applaudPlease heed that double negative. :woot:

2) Too many people to mention.

3) Political views have absolutely nothing to do with this. That said, well done backing up the steriotype. :whatever:

4) That's not going to happen any time soon.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck about not being an American, your lost. I thought everyone would want to live in the greatest country ever conceive by mankind. John Wayne won the Congressional Gold Medal and Presidential Medal of Freedom and on December 5, 2007, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and First Lady Maria Shriver inducted Wayne into the California Hall of Fame, located at The California Museum for History, Women and the Art. Do you think Sam Jackson could ever accomplish this honor in his lifetime? I don't think so, not in a million years.

Look at who played Nick Fury before Sam Jackson, The Hoff.

Is The Hoff a better choice for Nick Fury than Sam Jackson?

What do your political views have to do with anything?

Idol worship is not good. I have favorite actors and actress' and I hate to see people talk bad about them but I don't idolize them. It's not like I'm related to them or they give a darn about me and my troubles.

Maybe his political views are the same as Starks:
"AMERICA! **** YEAH!".

They are also, all white. Hmmm.

god this thread is stupid, the guy claims to love America so much but cant even get some of the basic language right "I will be disguised as Jackson" and "bad luck about not being an American, your lost" hahaha. He dosn't have real political views, cummon. I will be honestly surprised if he knows what political views are, this thread is clearly a joke (it has to be no-one is this stupid) looking for responses

David Hasselhoff was the worst choice in history to play Nick Fury. I hated that TV movie. Marvel should have hired George Clooney to play Nick Fury in Iron Man. He is twelve years younger than Jackson, a better actor, and better looking. Marvel could never afford to pay two high pay actors at the same time, so they got cheap and hired Jackson.

WTF? I'm glad I don't live in America, because I would end up obese and I would have to put up with muppets like you more often.

Seriously, are you serious? No one can be this delusional right?

Seriously, are you serious? Please tell me you ain't? No one can be this ******ed surely?

Why are you calling me names? Did I call you a name or put you down? I do believe that the U.S.A. is the greatest country on earth. Sure we have our problems. Sorry to hear that you disagree with my comments, but I love my country and wouldn't live in some social democracy country.

Kirk is obviously not serious. I wish people would stop replying to him, so he would stop posting here, so we could avoid threads like this being created

I agree with chewiw, honestly I dont even think english is his 1st language there are too many basic errors, let alone that he is actually from the u.s. I mean cummon "we have ARE problems" no-one over the age of 8 makes that mistake

1)I know everyone is infatuated with Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury, I'm not. I dare everyone to voice their opinion as to why Jackson should not be Nick Fury. Everyone is in love with Jackson.

3)I know a lot of people may be too scare to post, but I still dare you.
1) I am neither in love with or infatuated with Sam Jackson.
2) Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
3) I don't think anyone around here is too scared to post about anything.

1)How would you feel if Sam Jackson had a lot of screen time in Iron Man or any other Marvel movie? If he had 30 minutes or more in the films.
2)I will probably go see Iron Man II, but every time Sam Jackson in on the screen, I will be disguised with Jackson and have some sense of betrayal from Marvel Entertainment.

5)I DO NOT like him as NICK Fury and never will accept him in the role, no matter how poplar he has become.
1) Wouldn't bother me at all.
2) You have the right to feel betrayed by Marvel if you feel that strongly about having a black man play Fury....but there is no reason to feel disgusted with Jackson for accepting a job and pleasing his fans.
3) Please show me where you read that. I have heard nothing about him having financial problems or not being able to handle money. I would hate to think that you will perjure yourself in your attempt to make your case heard.
4) So? The actual comic book Nick Fury will be around 102 years old in 9 years. The current version of Fury will be around 60 years old in 9 years. Clint Eastwood is currently 79 years old. John Wayne made his last action movie at 69 years of age. Just because an actor is no longer in their 20's doesn't mean they can't play action roles.
5) That is your perogative....BUT....do not belittle others for having a different opinion....AND....do not show your disapproval with racial insults.

1)I love complaining and I'm not going nowhere.
2)I may be shallow and annoying, but who isn't.
3)I have a very aggressive personality and a very right wing Republican political views. I will voice my opinion and scream it to the mountain top.
4)I will repeat and voice my dislike of Sam Jackson as Nick Fury until Hollywood finds another actor.
1) Complaining is one thing...trolling is another...so watch your step.
2) I'm not.
3) As I said before...you are allowed to voice your opinion...as long as it doesn't become insulting or trollish.
4) You are in for a very long wait.

1)John Wayne is an American Icon.
2)You're gone to put Sam Jackson in the same league as John Wayne. Are you kidding me!!!!
3)I hope you don't tell that to your grandfather or another elderly person, you may get slap.
1) Finally something we can agree on.
2) If that is his opinion...then he can state it.
3) Many here consider me elderly....but I wouldn't slap them for making such a statement. John wouldn't slap them for saying it either...he had a great sense of humor.

1)Sorry to hear about your bad luck about not being an American, your lost.
2)I thought everyone would want to live in the greatest country ever conceive by mankind.
3)John Wayne won the Congressional Gold Medal and Presidential Medal of Freedom and on December 5, 2007,

1) I am an American...and that statement is condescending, rude, and unnecessary. As a moderator here, I have to tell you not to continue with such statements.
2) We do...but Latveria is so hard to get into these days. Knock off the jingnostic talk.
3) You are awarded that honor...you don't win it.
4) You never know....many people said that there would never be an African American as President of the United Staes too.
