he had a great sense of humor.
He read Blazing Saddles cause Mel Brooks wanted him for a role. His response?

"It's not for me... but I'll be damned if I'm not first in line to see it."

Look up Rowan and Martin's Laugh in....he appeared on the show wearing a pink bunny suit....:woot:

1) I am neither in love with or infatuated with Sam Jackson.
2) Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
3) I don't think anyone around here is too scared to post about anything.

1) Wouldn't bother me at all.
2) You have the right to feel betrayed by Marvel if you feel that strongly about having a black man play Fury....but there is no reason to feel disgusted with Jackson for accepting a job and pleasing his fans.
3) Please show me where you read that. I have heard nothing about him having financial problems or not being able to handle money. I would hate to think that you will perjure yourself in your attempt to make your case heard.
4) So? The actual comic book Nick Fury will be around 102 years old in 9 years. The current version of Fury will be around 60 years old in 9 years. Clint Eastwood is currently 79 years old. John Wayne made his last action movie at 69 years of age. Just because an actor is no longer in their 20's doesn't mean they can't play action roles.
5) That is your perogative....BUT....do not belittle others for having a different opinion....AND....do not show your disapproval with racial insults.

1) Complaining is one thing...trolling is another...so watch your step.
2) I'm not.
3) As I said before...you are allowed to voice your opinion...as long as it doesn't become insulting or trollish.
4) You are in for a very long wait.

1) Finally something we can agree on.
2) If that is his opinion...then he can state it.
3) Many here consider me elderly....but I wouldn't slap them for making such a statement. John wouldn't slap them for saying it either...he had a great sense of humor.

1) I am an American...and that statement is condescending, rude, and unnecessary. As a moderator here, I have to tell you not to continue with such statements.
2) We do...but Latveria is so hard to get into these days. Knock off the jingnostic talk.
3) You are awarded that honor...you don't win it.
4) You never know....many people said that there would never be an African American as President of the United Sates too.

I don't like or care for Obama. Until he takes responsible for the economy and stops blaming everything on President Bush. He will be a one term lame duck. I have no respect for his accomplishment and can not wait until he is out of office. If he does win, that's OK with me. I can rest assure that he can never run again after 2016. Obama and his party are making this country weaker and I'm afraid that we will have another 911 around the corner.

Guys, y'know how when you pass an accident on the motorway, you just have to look? :hehe:

Wow, sorry dude, but you are nuts.

And your simplistic view of the economic troubles shows that you are either 8 years old or you just really do not have a scooby doo about what you are talking about.

Only reason why I wouldn't want Sam L. playing Fury is because Sam is now a joke version of himself. I mean I think of just Mace Windu or Shaft.

Why do I have feeling this guy is a white supremist?

it is interesting that they have the mentality of being superior but act inferior. I honestly believe he is Red Skull and he is out to get Fury.

Marvel is trying to steer clear of high salaries for actors, a notion given weight after they replaced Terrence Howard with Don Cheadle. They also have reportedly only offered Mickey Rourke $250,000 to take a role as a villain, and are expecting Jackson to take a pay cut as well. We’re all excited to see an Iron Man sequel, but could Marvel be killing the momentum of the first film by undercutting their talent? We sure hope not. They’ve done a great job of taking ownership of the Iron Man and Hulk franchises in 2008. It’d be a shame to watch them throw it all away. Maybe Marvel execs should start wearing WWTSD bracelets, as in “What would Tony Stark do?”

Should Samuel L. Jackson take a pay cut? Who’s in the wrong here; the actors or Marvel Studios?

That Mickey Rourke rumour was false.

And Don Cheadle is a very accomplished actor, more so than Howard.

howard was proven to be difficult and the msot paid actor out of the bunch.

1) That's your perogative.
2) I don't particularily like Obama either....but he's right that the Bush regime has caused most of the economic and international troubles we are in at the moment.
3) That's an opinion....not fact.
4) That is your perogative.
5) That is completely opposite of your previous statement.
6) I suggest you study more. U.S. presidents can't serve more than 2 terms in a row....if he wants to run for president after someone else has the office, he can.
7) How his office is effecting the country is still up to debate...and this forum isn't the place for it.
8) That is a possibility no matter who is in office.

Apparently, you need to watch Glen Beck and Bill O'Reilly of Fox News. I'm sure they would agree to some extent with my comment.

The term of office for President and Vice President is four years. George Washington, the first president, set an unofficial term limit of two terms, a precedent that subsequent presidents followed until 1940. Before Franklin D. Roosevelt, several presidents had unsuccessfully campaigned for a third term. However, Roosevelt was elected four times, but died shortly after beginning his fourth term. In response, the Twenty-second Amendment was ratified, barring anyone from being elected president more than twice, or once if that person served more than half of another president's term. Harry S. Truman, who was President at the time of the amendment's ratification, and by the amendment's provisions exempt from its limitation, also briefly sought a third term before withdrawing from the 1952 election.
Since the amendment's ratification, four presidents have served two full terms: Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Jimmy Carter and George H. W. Bush sought a second term, but were defeated. Richard Nixon was elected to a second term, but resigned before completing it. Lyndon B. Johnson was the only president under the amendment to be eligible to serve more than two terms in total, having served for only fourteen months following John F. Kennedy's assassination. However, he chose not to run in the 1968 election.
Gerald Ford sought a full term after serving out the last two years and five months of Nixon's second term, but was not elected. He therefore became the fifth person to have served as President, but never been elected President. In addition, because Ford was not elected as Vice President (he became Vice President via Section 2 of the Twenty-fifth Amendment), Ford is also the only person to have served as President and Vice President, but never have been elected to either office.

well that is what I think of when I see Sam L. I don't think of Jungle Fever

What has this post got to do with anything in my post that you quoted?

1) So? That is their right to do if they want to.
2) So? That is their right to do if they want to.
3) So? That is their right to do if they want to.
4) Do you normally refer to yourself as we? And since Iron Man is currently filming with most of the original stars and several good new ones...it doesn't appear that they have undercut their talent.
5) Refer to #4 above.
6) That makes absolutely no sense.
7) That decision is up to him, not me. No one is in the wrong....it's just business.

Dude seriously, this is a forum about superhero/comic book movies. not politics. nobody cares what your political views are.

it is just business and we are a capitalist society, so I have no idea why you would be against that kirk? I thought you were far right?
