For those of you who didn't get the Joker's phone call http://www.whysoserious.com has been update with the sound playing in the background.

Maybe you should elaborate that the message from the call itself plays on the site.

That's the problem with following a viral for a year...

We start to think that EVERYTHING has some sort of hidden meaning - hehe.

I don't know what it means - but I would tend to believe that it DOES mean something.

So - on the side of "It's going to continue" we have the phone call from the Joker and we have the call being added to the WSS site. We also have the fact that the Joker phones had money added to them again last week. Why would they do that if it was all over?

On the "viral is over" side we have the fact that nothing really NEW has happened in a few days and the movie comes out this week. We also have the fact that the message sent to us from the Joker (telling us about the kickingandscreening site) was called The Last Laugh.

I hope it's still on, but I don't really have any answers.

Does anyone else wonder if maybe the viral will continue for a bit AFTER the 18th? I mean, the fate of the Joker at the end of TDK will determine that I'm sure (whatever fate that may be). But I'm just throwing it out there for speculation...

On the "viral is over" side we have the fact that nothing really NEW has happened in a few days and the movie comes out this week. We also have the fact that the message sent to us from the Joker (telling us about the kickingandscreening site) was called The Last Laugh.

Nothing happens for days at a time. Nothing happening since kicking and screening isn't anything out of the ordinary. And with the calls and this technically being an update, something did happen. Though whether or not it means anything has yet to be seen. As far as the last laugh thing..... We'll see.

I hope it's still on, but I don't really have any answers.

We just need to take a deep breath and think logically (for a viral anyway - lol). Look at the taped message - maybe there a hint to the order in which the locations (Cab company, bettys house of pies whatever) were given in the message.

Thats cool...just on a side note...i just saw The Dark Knight and its CRAZY GOOD! Damn man Heath is an absolute monster in this film its awesome. Oh you are going to love it.

Well, now that we have a clear message: Is anything in there new? I listened. And a couple of things didn't sound too familiar. But that might just be because I didn't pay enough attention the first time and/or it's been so long since I heard them.

I had pulled it apart when I got the first call and it sounds pretty much the same as it did over the weekend. Just clearer.

The Cloverfield virals went on for like a month or so after the movie came out.

I'm curious if the Dark Knight virals will blend in with any virals for the next planned movie...but right now they haven't announced anything yet, so who knows.

OK - so a question - look at the News section on the Gotham Police site. The pick of Notaro is gone - replaced with the standard "error" pic. Assuming that the viral is still on, is that a clue to look at Levine's hidden files?

Anyway. The stuff that didn't sound familiar to me was:

-The GCN Traffic update about the bank area
-The Ferry system "service interruption" message

Obviously, the GCN report directly refers to the bank job. Which just happened recently (see the latest episode of Gotham Tonight.)

I'm really disappointed they didn't do more on the Joker's side of the virals in relation to the bank job. We had all the clues leading up to it. The tickets. The bus routes. Then, it just happens behind the scenes. Without so much as a word that it was actually going to happen. Kinda lame, actually. I would've rather had games tied directly to the heist as opposed to just one big bang ending with pre-screenings. Though, make no mistake, pre-screenings are rad.

Look at the "seal" in the upper left hand corner - where the puzzle piece is. The INNER part of the seal is upside-down. What the heck is that about?

Which phones? My phone has NEVER had any minutes added to it (Slipknot) and I had to renew the damn thing myself when it expired in June. Granted, 42 finally contacted me after like a month of trying to reach them and they said they'd reimburse me.

I'm aware that it got turned upside-down - yup yup. That's my point - the Jokerized sites have never (to my knowledge) been like that. He usually just pastes things and scribbles all over the place.

The fact that the image is actually upside-down seems very out of place. The Joker has NEVER been that precise.
