Wii Controller Has To Be Aimed At The Console, Not The T.v. ?!

I wasn't going to get the Wii (lol) anyways, but this is a bit of a problem.

Actually, it's a huge problem. You won't have that good of a range of motion if you have to keep the TV remote pointed at that small little box.

No, the sensor isn't wireless. But I believe Nintendo understands that many gamers won't be able to have there Wii right next to their TV and the cord for the sensor will be VERY long.

THAT'S FANTASTIC.....YET ANOTHER CORD TO ADD TO MY "SPAGHETTI JUNCTION" BEHIND THE ENTERTAINMENT CENTER. :o

Well look at it thsi way. If the remote gets enough back slash. Nintendo will eventually make a Regular Controller for the Wii :o

Unless they already did ? I dunno

The gamecube controllers work with Wii plus there is a Wii controller used for Virtual Console games.

It isn't true. The remote is aimed at the TV.

So what's the point of the Wii if their games can be controlled by regular controllers anyways?

Now I know why they didn't stick to the much better name, "Revolution".

But not with Wii Games not all of them anyway

If you don't want to use the remote to control your games, why would you get a Wii?

Not all games will use a gamecube controller. Some games just wont work well with the Wiimote though (Super Smash Bros.) so they will use a gamecube controller instead.

You were saying you wanted a normal controller for Wii. Why would you want that over the Wiimote?

Nope. The sensor goes on/around the TV but you aim at the TV itself.

You posted twice asaking about a regular controller for Wii. When I said gamecube controllers work, you said "not for every game". Sounds to me like you wanted a regular controller that would work with all Wii games.

Maybe if you used grammar and sentance structure you could get your point across better.

Maybe if you paid attention & read posts better & fully we would not be having these useless arguments & now spamming a thread & going off topic. We can do this all day but I tell you now none of us will get no where

Everything I've read about this said that Wii has a sensor bar that attaches to your TV so that you DO actually point the wiimote at the TV. Did anyone at E3 complain about not being able to aim at the TV? If this was the case, I'm sure much more would have been said about it on more than one website.

ampersand is correct. the wii does have a sensor bar, so you can actually point at the tv. i expected people like thwip to research this. since this has been posted at ign, gamestop and many other gaming sites.
