Wii or 360?

If you want to run a bootleg Linux, by all means, PS3 is the way to go.

I don't get why that's a draw for the PS3. Everybody has a computer anyway.

Anyway, regarding the question of the thread: buy a Wii when Smash Bros. Brawl comes out. Until then it's more of a novelty item than a game system able to compete with the 360 or the PS3.

They like to use stuff that shouldn't be used for it. Makes them feel like a big man, I guess.

Eh. My friend installed Linux on his PS3, but all I've heard him do is complain about how hard it is to set everything up. I don't think he even uses it anymore, and he only installed it about a month ago.

Actually, it'd probably be smart to wait a few months and see if Microsoft drops the 360 models' prices in response to the PS3's drop. If the Elite goes down to $399 or $379, it'd cost about the same to get that and the HD-DVD player as it would to get the PS3, but you'd get a bigger hard drive and a better game catalog (for now, at least).

True.

So has Sony announced a price drop? I know there was alot of rumors about it dropping this month, but I don't see it happening till this fall(for the holiday sells)

Also any news on Microsoft dropping the prices of the 360?

I dunno, I think a console that works might be worth the effort. ;)

The 360 has a three year warranty now. So whats the problem? Its not like it takes forever to send it and get it back. The place you send it to is in Texas, I live in Illinois, I got it back in a week, no cost. They even gave a free game along with it (PGR) because they couldn't process my order the day I called.

Yeah it would make sense.

I have a PS3 but if I had to pick between a Wii and a 360 I would take the 360.

I was caught in this same dilemma, but I decided to get a 360 and i'm glad I did! The online is the best part...it's not just online gaming, its so much more. Plus the graphics are way better then the Wii's, and if that is important to you, like it was me to me, then you know what you have to do. I have nothing against Wii's though, and plan on getting one in the future.

Well guys I'm thinking that I'm getting the 360 although I kind of want a 360 due to the fact that I'm splitting the price of whatever system I choose with my sister. Thanks for the help guys.

Enjoy.

Throughout my life, Nintendo has bought me the best gaming experiences, EVAR. For instance, Zelda. I can't say there's many games I own, or which are out yet...but I also have Wario Ware.

Missing out? rofl waffles.

I agree with that statement. First party Nintendo games are always great. During the Saturn, PS, N64 wars I thought N64 wouldn't be able to touch PS, then I saw someone play Mario 64 and never doubted Nintendo again.

That being said, while I'm very happy with my Wii, right now X-Box 360 has the better libary of games.

I was never really a huge fan of the Nintendo games. I like them, but they're more the kind of games I'd play and enjoy if they happened to be on in a store rather than something like God of War, which I would kick my grandmother in the face to play if I had to.

I believe that's Sony's marketing slogan.

I've got a 360, and my girlfriend has a Wii. I have to admit he Wii is mucho fun when your friends are round, but it is totally a novelty console, with more of the games aimed at a younger audience. I'd take my 360 over the Wii any day of the week, but it depends on how serious a gamer you are. If you only pick up a pad every now and then a Wii is good fun, but if you like sinking your teeth into a game, get a 360.

Just the hassle?

Anyway, for me 360>Wii.

Well I got a free game for the hassle. Plus, if you can't stand a week being away from a game console, you have got bigger problems.
