WiiU

Have to say, I was hoping for some better launch titles. Especially for Mario. Something to show off the new power.

Maybe it's the screen on the controller, or the fact that they're launching first, but this is starting to remind me of the Dreamcast.

Dude, Dreamcast is one of my all time favorite systems. So.. That would be awesome.

Minus throwing up the white flag the moment a new Sony system is announced.

This is why they should have not used the WiiU name. Even CNN thinks it's just a Wii accessory.

Will Nintendo's forthcoming Wii U controller breathe new life into its aging Wii console? Hard to say at this point, but the Wii U is a solid accessory that will bring a fresh element to Nintendo gaming.
I got my hands on the redesigned device -- which was first previewed a year ago -- after Nintendo's Electronic Entertainment Expo event in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Soooo much confusion this Holiday season I bet, just like the 3DS confusion.

I wish there were more first party launch titles announced, but based on what I assume the prices will be there's enough games to keep me busy until more come out. I'm really wanting to know when it'll be released and the full price.

It's ironic, because Nintendo doesn't seem to appreciate it what let it take the market by storm in the first place. Awesome bundled launched titles. Namely Super Mario Bros., Super Mario World, and later Super Mario 64. Even the Wii had a brand new Zelda (albeit little more than a glorified Gamecube game).

Remember how poorly the Gamecube did? It launched with Luigi's Mansion. Yeah.

From the looks of things, this new Mario is just New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii with a few new items. Very underwhelming.

It's going to take more than Pikmin 3 and New Super Mario Bros to get me interested in picking this up at launch.

Don't launch until you have good titles. You'd think they would have learned that lesson with the 3DS and Gamecube.

Some of the things nintendo showed were cool, but not what i was waiting for. I thought wiiu was a return to core gaming? No push for stuff like Zelda, Metroid, Starfox or fzero?

You generally won't see a Zelda launch title, since it takes years to make.

But they could have done a lot better with Mario, and those other titles.

I'm sure in 2013 we'll get a slew of cool Nintendo titles and 2014 will be even better. I'm kind of ok with waiting. Lord knows I can't afford all these games and systems as it stands now.

It's never easy to go first. Ask SEGA.

The problem is that they need to convince people who own already own a Wii, to fork out hundreds of dollars for a new system. To that, they'll need more than New Super Mario Bros. with HD graphics and some new power ups.

This will officially be the 1st Nintendo system I purposely not buy soon after launch...:o

They've already convinced me. I own the Wii and I can't wait to upgrade to the WiiU. Then again, I am a Nintendo Fanboy. I've bought just about everything they've put out.

Let's see, counting family purchases, I bought the SNES, Nintendo 64 and Wii at launch. Also the GBA, the DS, and the 3DS.

I see no reason to buy this anytime soon.

I like Nintendo as much as the next guy, but I'm not made of money.

It's going to take at least an awesome Mario title and a Zelda game, to get me to buy one.

Its sad that the most exciting news for me about the WiiU was that it comes in black and has an actual controller...

Uhhh...fu***in' hate the 360 controller...but yes, that one. A normalized controller that isn't a wand or a tablet.

I still have this mental picture of someone at the E3 Microsoft booth wondering where his Xbox controller went.

Nintendo had Mii (heh.. See what I did there?) at Pikmin 3.

Nintendo can have me again as soon as a real Nintendo game shows up.

I believe the next Zelda title is still scheduled for 2016. And Star Fox for 2018.
