Will anyone be disappointed if X3 isn' as good as X2?

yes...especially since singer practically handed them an epic film on a silver platter

 

HEAL no.... at the start when i heard the name brett ratner and whatnot, i was saying to myslef, as long as its better then X1 im good... and so far it looks liek its killing it!

X2 is something special thats VERY hard to top....

 

The answer is within the question! Why would anyone be glad we waited 3 years!

 

What will get me is thinking if Singer could have done a better job. Why did they have to change directors! There is always the 'what if...'

 

Yeah well, better than X1 is fine. Close to X2, fine. I just want there to be consistancy, it seems there isn't. No cerebro door/Xavier opening speech, no FIREBIRD. They were both seen in the previous movie.

 

X2 is near perfection, veeeeeeeeery near perfection...thats all i have to say

it will be better than x1 for sure over all dunno about x2
but for me personally i think its the best from all the footag i've seen of it i dont care what the reviews say this movie will rock and blow up the box office!

 

If it's on par with X-Men, then I think I'll be good. But, let's all be honest. After viewing X2, we all knew that X3 was going to go to another level all together. And from reports, it's not looking that way.

Again, if on par with X-Men, then it's okay. But, we shouldn't have to settle for okay.

 

the problem is that Singer raised the bar too much on X2, it would be hard even for him to make a better one. So we'll always be thinking "oh, its good, but cant touch the last" when usually the purpose of sequels is indeed to top the last ones (rare to happen, i know, but i had that hope with X3)
Clearly X3 wont get this objective of toppin X2...

 

Not really. I kinda expected this since the whole rushed production. But this one will have way more action, that's for sure, and I know I'm gonna love them.

 

it depends..how do you define better?

if by better you mean, acting writing and filmmaking isn't better, then no i won't be dissapointed because the crew that worked on X2 really made a valid atempt at making a movie that was widely accepted, not just by comic fans but by ever one(inculding up tight movie snobs)

if you mean, better action, fighting, mutant powers, actual comic book stuff, then yes i will be dissapointed but i don't think that will happen, because from the trailers we've seen, we have already seen more usages of mutant powers, and mutant fighting in the roughly 10 minutes of trailer footage we've seen, then in the almost 5 hours of movies before it

here are some of the scenes i am talking about that will blow 1 and 2 out of the water

-Iceman iceing up and fight the flame throwing pyro
-danger room, sentinal, fastball special, colossus giving his power to rogue
-wolverine going bezerker at least two times(forrest, final battle)
-magneto lifting a ****ing bridge and riding it to alactraze
-juggarnaut vs a tone of people
-shadowcat going nuts moving in and out of guys
-the big final battle
-storm flying and using the full extent of her powers(should have been in x1_
-pheonix doing here thing (ripping wolverines skinn off, wow!)
-that holding cell brake where magneto destroys that convoy
-i'm probobly missing alot, but in the first two movies combined there aren't that many cool uses of mutant powers/action in it

i think this movie is going to the best in terms of comic book stuff but not as good in the quality filmmaking part

wich is a fair trade off in my opinion

 

Singer would've made a better X3. That's certain....if the studio would've just let him go with his vision that he and DeSanto set up since the first film.

Singer's X3 would've been massive. There's no doubt about that.

How is it a fair trade off? Why can't you have both? Clearly, Singer learned from X-Men with X2. What makes you think he wouldn't up the action yet again to the comic level if he had done X3?

 

How ironic, I like X1 better than X2.

So, as long as the film sits in between the two films, the franchise will continue<>and as long as the majority likes what they see and the box office smiles upon FOX/MARVEL, like the previous films, we will see X4, no doubt about it.

 

exactly, X1 cant hold a candle to x3 in the action department!

**** this is the alst stand... leave the character development to the previous 2, this is a war... people die....

but not forever... not in the marvel verse

 

To me, I think this validates an increased usage of effects, but not necessarily stuff found within the comics outside of power usage.

Me too. It had more heart to it.

 

X-Men had more heart than X2? Now, I really like X-Men but it's not X2 on a number of levels. It just isn't. It's just a better, overall film on all fronts. There's no disputing that.

 

its all peoples opinions, cant shut them down man. X2 is technically superior, but some poeple may liek x1 better because they THINK it has more heart or its the beggining, or it feels better... something.

I know that a movie trailer can't really tell us what this movie is gonna be like. But sometimes they do!!!

From what I seen and heard........I think this movie will make us all forget Singer!!

The storyline is great!! The action so far has been off the chain!!
