I and many others were convinced a while back that the symbiote will not transform or morph into clothing or anything. that it was just a black liquid covering his red and blue costume.

but... in the preview it is clearly a black stringy stuff thingy. and we see him ripping the symbiote off of him. there is no red and blue costume underneath the symbiote in that scene. so the symbiote had to become the black costume, rather than continue to cover up his costume. and if pieces are going to fall on eddie brock underneath, and create Venom than the symbiote absolutely has to be able to change it's appearance and shape in order for eddie to even wear it.

I think the symbiote basically crawls all over his old costume, "devours" it if you will, and simply acts as his suit from now on which he never takes off. The suit is most likely bonded to him but I don't see it mimicking any other clothing because we have the shot from the trailer of him taking off his outer clothing to reveal the black suit beneath.

I personally believe that what we will see is the suit "liquifying" around his neck and creating the mask whenever he wants it, since you can see in the bell tower scene the whole suit is one piece and not two as he tries to rip the mask off his face.

I don't think Peter will have it mimick any of his clothing. The symbiote might try to appear more "normal", or earth-based, to him in ways like that, including that it only stays under his costume like a regular costume --- besides that, we do see in the trailer a scene of him ripping open his shirt and revealing the black costume underneath.

I could see Eddie using it to mimick clothing, however.... maybe in the form of a jacket or something along those lines, similar to that one now-famous fanmade teaser poster.

well if you mean like transform into a police uniform etc. like the cartoon then I hope not! Its a pretty cool idea but is a little too far fetched for the average audience and doesnt fit in the movies well.

The symbiote imbeds itself in the fabric of his red & blue costume, dying it black. I never got the whole "morphing into clothes" thing anyway. What's the point? So Peter never has to buy new clothes again as long as he has the symbiote? It just seems unnecessary.

I don't think it will mimic clothing... it will merge with the Spidey costume and then it will start merging with Peter, that's when he decides to take it off, it starts taking control...

The question here is... will Pete ever take a bath or take his costume off? LOL...

the symbiote won't do anything, it'll be like a lazy roomate who drinks all your beer, stays up all night and hits on your girl...

Lol! I hadn't even thought of that. I just had this picture of Peter standing there looking at the shower and then look down at his suit with a slightly confused and irritated look on his face. :)

Hmm lol, I guess not since hes gonna have dirty greasy hair.

He has the black suit under his clothes in many pics, and in snips of the teaser, so I don't think it will do anything but slime his suit.

Where is this guys "GOD not this thread again" or "-enter link here- go there "
"We have a thread already on this!" "Been there done that"

I aint gonna say it, but last time i tried posting something exactly similar to this i got owned. http://icevenom.justgotowned.com/

Comic book charcters never go to the bathroom.... just like pro athletes.

No, it will not. Unless, it's not yet revealed to us. But from the trailer, these eyes doubt it.

When the symbiote bonds with peter why is he sleeping in his spidey suit anyway??

Maybe because he just came back from battling a villain and is tired and just wants some rest? Don't tell me you never came home from a rough day and just fell asleep with your clothes on ;)

You know...that same thing has been bothering me for a while now too...Maybe Raimi is doing a spinoff of the Ultimate Origin and Peter agreed to test out this new cancer suit...possibly developed with Harrys funding, and thats why Harry becomes the GG2...to stop the Symbiote after it messes with Peter's mind and turns him evil. Thats the only way I'll buy the Symbiote as the "4th villian"...if Spider-Man truly becomes evil because of the suit and ceases to fight crime to further his lust for destruction. That would leave Harry the role of being the "good guy" for a portion of the film.

see I figure that if the symbiote is ripped off into pieces before it bonds with eddie brock, then it has to have the ability to morph somewhat. In order for it to cover eddie brock's body at all, it must have the ability to at least change shape and form some kind of costume.

yeah otherwise venom would just be a naked guy with little patches of black fabric stuck to him. It has to have the ability to change otherwise venom would be impossible.

I wonder how it changed the shape of the spider on his chest and back then? :venom:

i think it will mimick clothing because peter needs to fight to take it off in the church. if it didnt transform into clothes, he couldnt have been dressed as the "dark peter" if you will with the creepy hair.

It's hardly the symbiotes most important feature and pretty silly to begin with so I say nope.

Hmm... The whole Peter can't wash thing brings up a good point. If he's all emo then he wouldn't care about his hair but once he's over it he'd want to wash and thats why he'd go to the clock tower and take it off there. Everyone nows that churches have the best showering facilities jk. ANyway if they do have it mimic clothing I'd like to see them have it like it was on TAS, He'd say a few different ideas it would do it as he said until he got one he liked.
