The change in suit, hey maybe the symbiote makes him colorblind?
what I was wondering is how the black suit is 'manufactured' (did the symbiote alter his normal suit? impossible, it would work in the cartoon, but not in the movie),
my guess would be that he stitched up something new, because of his 'alien depression'?
- would he know of the symbiote? maybe, but it seems not to care him (at first at least)

In the cartoon the symbiote doesn't alter his suit, it just covers him, recreating his suit, only better. (it can mimic clothing.)

It looks like in the movie, it coats his suit, and like 'stains' it...

What if the shot at the end of the trailer is altered so that the reflection is of Spidey in the red/blue suit instead of the black one (kinda like in the S-M 2 trailer when Peter is sitting on his bed, and lightning flashes outside and the Spidey mask flashes over his face, which didn't actually happen in the movie) Maybe that scene is after the one of the Symbiote crawling up Peter's arm while he's sleeping, and he wakes up upside down on the webline and sees the reflection of himself in the black suit, like in the 90's show. He even kinda looks around like he doesn't know where he is. What do you guys think?

I was kinda thinking the same thing. But I'm also hoping that the scene stays as it is. It's such an awesome shot!
And in the Spider-Man 1 trailer they also altered some things. When he's chasing Uncle Bens killer and he leaps on the car, he has his suit on, but in the movie it's the wrestling suit.
Just thought I would throw that out there to support your theory.

ok, maybe altering was the wrong word.
The symbiote sucking the colors out of the suit, or blending into the suit as black, ok, doable.
But how could they justify the symbiote changing the shape of the chest-spider's (foam?) and the suit's fabric in the movie, i Know nothing is realistic about the spiderman universe, but c'mon 'aliens have created latex-spandex shapeshifters'?
then cover it like the cartoon, 'slime him up'.

Seems like most of the stuff from the Q&A turned out to be right so...didn't he say something about it coming in on a meteor or something and there's an explosion on the beach. Peter goes to take pics and it attaches to his shoe? Then when he's asleep it covers him?

Something like that.

That would be it, i remember hearing something like that as well. I also remember something along the lines of some mysterious figure hands Spidey the symbiote at a church.....but i think it was false.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing - he doesn't see the way the symbiote has changed him, it blinds him to its prescence as a defense mechanism as it bonds to him. And since it is bonding with him it should be able to manipulate his perceptions, this would also allow it to absorb the genetic basis of his powers and once it transferred those powers to Brock...

Peter's spider-sense would be ineffective to the symbiote because it's already blinded him to it.
