Here's a few examples of cars in a flat black scheme similar to what something Batman would drive.

Lambo Murcielago

And yes, Mr. Wayne, it does come in black.

^ and it even has like bag things for his stuff.

Dark black stealth helicopter I can see; but a "Batwing" is pretty stupid IMHO. A helicopter can take off and land almost anywhere. Plus a helicopter can hover in one place if needed. A Batwing can't do any of those things unless it has VSTOL tech. And even then it would probably still be limited as to where it could take off and land from. And wouldn't hover as effectively as a helicopter.

And stealth propeller(rotor) tech implies helicopter not Batwing.
A helicopter is anti climactic next to a batwing. The newest fighter jets use vstol and it is gyrospher and computer controlled and can hover effectively in one place. The tumbler had a gyrosher in it. It can also take off and land like a harrier. I seriously doubt it will be a choper.

the tumbler is soooooo much better than any normal batmobile car. i hope nolan realizes he should- KEEP THE TUMBLER! i used to like the 89 batmobile but it is weak compared to THE TUMBLER!

Bring back the Tumbler...or a "Tumbler 2.0" at the least.
"In combat two of these would jump across a river"
I already had to see a weird meshy "hockey pad" looking suit with a more subdued looking cowl...I don't want a toned-down ride in the 3rd.

Didn't anyone else have beef with how Bats' cowl was severely toned down in TDK? The eyes weren't as angry looking at all as they were in BB. See? That's part of the problem with tinkering with a formula. In the Burton/Schumacher Batfilms the cowl kept getting less sinister looking until we got what? Clooney!
Even in the damn X-Men movies...Wolverine's hair kept getting more and more subtle until it was just a damn pompadour.

Give me the BB cowl back, give me back Thomas Wayne's train, give me back the vast skyscrapers of BB...and don't F* with the Tumbler!

You are speaking the truth! this quote says it all

Oh to remember the days of countless thread about how ugly the Tumbler is and that it's not a real Batmobile.

I say trust in Nolan to give us something as good if not better. I hated the new costume when it was first released but after seeing the movie and seeing the suit in action I actually like it just as much as the original. I just see it as a variant now.

I would think it will be redesigned. I actually like the tumbler, even though I know a ton of people hated it. I would assume it to be a top secrete project again... just as the tumbler. hmmm... I wonder what the new one will look like??

I think a redesign

he only really used the tumbler, because it was already there
(gained he did alot of modifications)

its not the most practical vehicle, though it did work for him at the time

I don't know why he would remake the tumbler, as it was
(I could see them using a similar concept, or using the same type of technology, but designed into a more conventional vehicle)

also, batman is now on the run, he's going to need a more inconspicuous vehicle

this has nothing to do with what i said above, just a cool car concept

I don't like the sportscar idea. It's too much like the Burton car and doesn't really fit into Nolan's world.

I thik what a sports car could do is allow Bruce to get into Gotham without drawing too much attention to himself. I mean, you drive a tank or another unique vehicle (like the Batpod) into Gotham and everyone and their brother knows Batman is in town. Good for scaring crooks, but remember, Bats is now a wanted fugitive...

But then there is the problem of getting OUT. If you see Batman get into a sports car with a license plate on it (even if it goes through some dummy identity), people are going to figure out it's Bruce Wayne's car.

Well now that the Tumbler has been "destroyed" should Batman bring in a new Batmobile, or should he stick to the Tumbler and rebuild it??

There's a tumbler in storage. "two of these would jump over a river towing cables. We couldn't get the damn bridge to work..." This implies they were using 2 tumblers when trying to get the bridge working.

they needed two because they needed two cables. but i dont remember that two of them were build.
i think the plan was to use two tumblers. but they build one prototype.

If two were required to jump over a river with cables for the bridge and they couldn't get the bridge to work it implies that there were at least two tumblers if not more that they were experimenting with.

not necessarily. the only function of the tumbler was to get a cable across a specific gap. the bridge however would be some sturdy material laid across these cables. knowing that the prototye tumbler worked would save them building two, they'd just need to get a stable bridge working on two cables.

The implication is there since he specifically says that as part of the bridge building process, two tumblers jump over the river towing cables. Then he says they couldn't get the bridge to work meaning that somewhere between the Tumblers towing cables and the bridge being complete something did not work.

if the "Dark Knight" crew can build EIGHT for FILMING, then Wayne Enterprises can build more than one prototype for the army. that being said, it would be interesting if they improved on the Tumbler design in any way...

I like the tumbler. Keep the tumbler.Yes to tumbler. Stay. Tumbler.

No new batmobile. Please. No.

Considering they would no doubt use Hollywood licence to just drop a line in the next film like "since I destroyed the last one I'm glad I had you make up all those spare ones", I don't think we need to worry over whether we'll see the Tumbler again. And, if we're gonna get overly-technical, what would be the difference in buying the parts to build a new Tumbler rather than doing the same to build a new Batmobile, either way (according to the way the films are working things) nobody would have a clue where the parts or the completed article came from. As in The Dark Knight, with Bruce Wayne's requested improvements to the Batsuit, improvememts will no doubt be made to the Tumbler but they'll probably still try to keep it rooted in reality (ie. essentially a tank) rather than some impregnable car with innumerable technology defying functions.

The '89 batmobile is waaaaaaay better than the tumbler. I'd love to see a sleeker sportier vehicle brought back.

In terms of Batman Begins references to TWO tumblers jumping a river.... Do you really think a regular movie-goer would actually remember that little piece of info?
