Im new so sorry if this thread is already started but i was reading an old interview from october 2004 after spiderman 2 came out where Raimi said 3 would be the last one but i also read that Amy Pascal wanted 6 movies and raimi said if he still feel's the way he does now he would direct them all so im confused will the 3rd probably be the last or have things changed since the interview in 2004

2005 - "Spider-Man director Sam Raimi told SCI FI Wire that Sony Pictures plans to make six of the comic-inspired films, and that he'd consider helming them if he feels as strongly about them as he does about the upcoming third installment. "I've heard Amy Pascal [chairman of Sony's motion picture group] say she wants to make six Spider-Man pictures," Raimi said in an interview at the Saturn Awards in Los Angeles. "So I think she's a woman of her word. And if she says there'll be six, there'll be six. ... Spider-Man 3 will be the last one for Kirsten Dunst. She and Tobey have three-movie contracts. Tobe himself has said nothing about it either way. Raimi signs for the films one at a time.

I personally hope its the last, I would rather have a trilogy then risking having some movies that arent good. And if this wasnt the last one, why would they be putting SO much in this one. I think its the last one, so there putting there all into it

Well I believe as long as its Raimi directing them, theyll be good, so if he will, I say bring 'em on

I think as long as spider man 3 does well at the box office, i'd say its safe to assume they'll be Spider man 4 eventually. The question is, will Rami direct and will Tobey stay on?

How do you top S-M3 that has symbiote spider-man,Sandman,GG,Venom,and another unknown villain in one movie.Sinister Six can top it,but they need to save that for S-M6,so what villains can be in S-M4 that will make the movie better than S-M3.

Having less than four villains would not be the way to do it,and what four villains could even be better than the ones we get in S-M3.

As to the original question.. Trust me there will be more then 3 Spidermans.. And btw,,, there is going to be serious special effects and stories in those. I think the writers will be on board. I hope Raimi would be too..! Damn this is going to kick butt.

Cause if this is true. Spiderman will by the first movie that would be making 6 consecutive movies without any prolonged lenght of time between them.

This would be beyond my wildest imaginations. Beyond my dreams.

It already has been. Breaking records for a movie. One of the highest grossing movies in history. Changing motion picture record books! This is the premiere movie now in the box office! Super huge budgets! Raimi gets as much money as he wants pretty much for the movies now!!! The hype for these movies does not have a precident!

It's been truly amazing! Eat that Bat-Man/Superman/Xmen!!!!! lol

Theres a good amount of great villains left for future installments...I think lol

Id have 4 having only one Venom, since his 10 mins at the end of SM3 will be his introduction

^If they would of left Venom out of S-M3 and waited until S-M4,then they could of had Venom and Lizard in S-M4 and that would of topped S-M3 that had Sandman and GG2,but because they already have Venom in S-M3 and him dying at the end of it,we won't see Venom being the main villain ever.

And also if Venom was in S-M4 with Lizard,you can't have Venom in S-M5 with Carnage,people will get bored seeing the same villain in every movie.Moviegoers don't want to see a spidey movie that has the symbiote in every one of them.

You have to give moviegoers different villains that can do different things,that has different stories,and have different looks to them,it keeps everything fresh.
