S-M4,could have a hunt/searching for certain things type theme.Like you have spidey looking for the Lizard so he can cure his friend Dr.Connors,but at the same time you have Kraven who is trying to hunt and kill the Lizard.

We could have the Scorpion hunting spidey down,and at times we can see all four of these characters all thrown together at times,where everyone is fighting against everyone,trying to get what they want.

^Like when spidey might be in trouble with a certain villain,out of nowhere another villain jumps into the battle,not to save spidey,but to kill spidey or the villain spidey is fighting for himself.

We could see Peter through out the movie hunting for a missing MJ,that never appears in the movie,where the moviegoers/Peter never know what has happened to her.(A mystery)

And for a cameo villain,we should see like the Rhino charging through moving cars on a freeway destroying everything in his path until spidey comes and fights him.

the only things keeping peter's life interesting is his relationship with MJ, his relationship with Harry, and his relationship with Aunt May. We already know that

Well said... it's all about those three relationships... they have bene explored to the max... now Brock is dead... Stacy and COnners are the only ones left... not seeing to many options here...

Have to agree, i pictured the 4th one having MJ's and Peters wedding but if Dunst is gone idk then. Maybe if Gwen comes back they could start something there.

I really want more spiderman movies, but after using Venom so early I think that this has to be the last one. Why would they use and abuse Venom already if it wasn't close to the end of the spiderman
films? I wouldn't mind seeing the Lizard but I don't see how just one villian can top all the great villians in this movie. BOO

I think if Maguire quits, there won't be any Spider-Man movie before a few years (10-20) cause people would be annoyed to see their "hero" changing, that would be kind of weird, and that's not good for the franchise, I really hope Maguire won't quit, I think he's good at playing Peter, dont want to see someone else playing Peter Parker

Well I love Lizard, he is probably my favorite villain (though in the world of arch villains, I understand both Green Goblins, Doc Ock and Venom having a higher claim to be on film....Sand Man on the other hand....)

but WE HAVE ALL THE PLOT LINES FROM THE FIRST TWO MOVIES BEING WRAPPED UP AND THE VENOM SAGA....AND SANDMAN....all in one movie. How do you top that? Lizard is cool, but he can't top that. and for the record with so much (plus Spidey and MJ having relationship problems) I hope SM3 is 2 1/2 hours at least.

Anyway, I think given all the loose ends are being tied up that once this is a usccess Sony will realize there is money to be had but put SM on the back burner as Dunst is gone and Tobey is unlikely to return. Than in about a decade they'll have SPIDER-MAN: A NEW BEGINNING or something to that effect that is a loose sequel to the first three with a new cast and characters and make another trilogy, one that would include (most likley) the Lizard and (iunfrotunately) Carnage.

We'll see though.

Exactly, and that's why most movies have NO sequels.

I can tolerate three movies with the same characters, but stretching further would only hurt what's been done until then. People would get annoyed.

SM3 should be the last spider-man movie. Don't ruin the franchise by making 3 more movies. This isn't star wars or star trek. Move on Raimi. It's time for you to make other types of movies other than spider-man or else you'll be stereotyped along with the cast members for eternity. Life is too short to stay with one movie franchise. It takes a long time to do a movie. Don't keep making the same kind with the same characters. It gets boring fast. Enough is enough.

The original batman series should have stopped with batman 2 same goes with the superman series. Bryan Singer was smart to leave X-men after 2 movies. He should stop after making two superman returns movies. Christopher Nolan should stop after making two batman begins movies.

If sam does make a fourth spider-man movie, the only way he can top spider-man 3 is to introduce the clone-saga. Not only did this series caused quite a stir in the spider-man comics, it's a great way to retire tobey's version of spider-man from the first 3 movies.

Ben Reilly (the clone) would re-start the franchise for another two movies. This will keep the series fresh and start a new story arch with new characters. Raimi can then bow out of 5 and 6. The love story would center around Ben Reilly, gwen stacy, and the black cat. The villians would be the lizard (of course), mysterio, and carnage. Of course, the real spider-man would return in part 6 to close out the six-logy.

there will have to be one more, why set up Dr Curt Conners in SM2 and have him in SM3 without using the lizard, IMO he will lose a limb in SM3 and start to develop the lizard regrowth formula. And rumors that venom is only in the end of SM3 hints to a SM4
