This is more Ledger related and not Joker related, hence the new thread.

Usually actors do interviews during production, as we saw with Michael Caine on set (boat scene), Eckhart, Maggie, Oldman and Freeman. Does anyone know if Ledger was ever interviewed on set? It would really be interesting to hear him talk more about his approach the role than what little information we've gotten/footage from the two video interviews.

I'd noticed that Bale was interviewed after production (note the beard), so I'm really crossing my fingers that Ledger was interviewed before he passed.

Yeah, i was always hoping there would be clips of interviews with ledger on the DVD, but it doesn't look that way.

I hope they conducted interviews with Heath Ledger during the production of the movie.

im sure there must some on set interviews with heath. there probably leaving it till tdk dvd or summin

I think from the interviews he gave we've heard as much as we need. How many times can you hear the cast saying the Joker has no rules, Batman has a code, Joker has no motivation but pleasure in anarchy. It gets redundant.

a lot of DVD extras are normally done during shooting, so I'm sure we'll see something

I'm hoping they have interviews and that maybe.....just maybe, they release his "joker book" and use the profits for a charity.

There really isn't any reason why they wouldn't release it.

It wasn't Heath's personal diary. It was his character's.

I wish there were more clips myself, it is too bad we dont have more to see from him about it!

They might feel as if it's to profit off his death. Which is why I suggest the charity donation from the profits. Not to mention, we don't know how long it was. It could make a soft cover book or it could be like 15 pages in the TDK Art/Script book.

Or the notes could be taken out of context and contribute to the whole "Joker drove him to his death" mularky.

Or it could be lost forever. There's a lot of reasons why they wouldn't, but i would love to know what he was thinking.

Do you still think the tumbler and batpod are completely separate things?

Congrats.

Let's get back on topic here.

I love his respect and appreciation towards Tim Burtons Batman and Jack's Joker.
A great guy.

Spoken like a true mediator.

I still want to know what Ledgers original spark was. He said he had an instant idea how to play the Joker and this was as a guy who'd never read any of the comic books. Where did it come from and how did it match up with Nolans vision so precisely. I've always wanted to hear this in his own words.

I dont Want to know how he created this character, its like seeing an amazing magic trick, then learning how its done, its just not as cool. i dont know if that makes any sense to be honest lol, but im sticking with it!
