Wisdom Teeth

Your mouth feels so liberated when they're gone; I'd gladly deal with the discomfort after surgery.

Hey everyone, thought I'd give an update as well as some advice for those who haven't gotten them removed yet. For the first day:

Surgery is fun. You get knocked out and it's lovely.

What comes after the loveliness: Yuckiness! Your whole lower half of your face will be numb. You will not be able to feel your own tongue :(

Make sure you have a large supply of soup that has no kind of "chunkiness" in it at all.....like just get broths, tomato soup, etc. Also, when you get home, FORCE yourself to eat even if it means dribbling all over yourself. I couldn't at first because of my numb mouth so I didn't take painkillers right away and OUCH.

Don't eat anything cold! I tried to eat some milkshake so I could take my painkillers and it was the most excruciating pain I'd felt in a LONG time. It takes a lot of physical pain to make me cry, and boy did I cry.

Make sure someone is home with you. I'm by myself until this evening, and it is a pain in the ass having to cook for yourself.

That's all for now.....my bottom lip is still numb and my first kind of painkiller didn't really help, so I'm about to drink more soup and take the strong stuff lol. I should hopefully be asleep soon haha.

That'd be cool if we had Wisdom Eyes and when you got older four eyeballs would start growing on your forehead and if they came in crosseyed you'd go and have them removed.

i hope you feel better!

No, I got a ride home. They wouldn't have let me leave if there wasn't someone to drive me lol.

Update #2: Demerol is GOOD STUFF.

Well I'm not high right now, duh. I slept for a good 3 hours.

When my teeth,i had 4 removed, were taken out.I could not eat solid food for around 2 weeks,i had lost weight and nearly forgotten how meat tasted like.My mouth was swollen, and i could barely talk.

one of my wisdom teeth has grown in, but it's crooked, and now it sometimes cuts the inside of my cheek... damn tooth...

Uh oh, sounds like a prime candidate for removal to me.
