my favorite CBM of the year will most likely be Iron-Man 3, but time will tell... I almost never like anything with Superman, but the animated series version was top notch imo
Poor Superman, some people don't see how awesome he really is

I think my favorite CBM of 2013 will be MoS. I like Superman, but in terms of movies, he has never been able to unleash his true potential. Since will have a villain like Zod and visionary director like Snyder, I can tell we are gonna get some epic stuff.

Since Superman is my number one favorite superhero and considering how awesome MoS looks, there really is no contest for me this year when it comes to which superhero movie I'm most excited for.

For me, it's kinda a tie with IM3 and MoS. I'll have to wait to see which one is the one...

probably. Nothing wrong with the character, but the universe of Thor is not that interesting

Am I the only one who's really not interested in Thor 2?

I'm kinda meh on the whole thing myself. I didn't find the first Thor movie to be much more than mediocre, and he didn't really have a whole lot to do in Avengers (at least, not a lot that stands out).

Didn't like Thor 1 as much as the other MCU Origin films either.

Am I the only one who's really not interested in Thor 2?

Thor: The Dark World isn't really in my radar either. But that's how I feel about Wolverine sort of as well...two CBMs for 2013 that don't even have trailers, lol.

The fact that its gross was even lesser than Origins despite being a better movie

Are you we really going by gross with X-Men Origins being a reason when X-Men: The Last Stand has a higher domestic gross and WW gross than X2 when X2 is the much better film?

If The Wolverine turns out to be bad,it will definitely have an effect on DOFP's box office return. Its the 'X-men' tag after all

Doubt that when bringing in my example of how gross means squat.

Wolverine is Fox's flag ship character and its such a pity they failed to harvest his potential,he could have easily reached Spidey like popularity

Wolverine is FOX's flag ship character only because they have no idea on how to focus on other characters.

Poor Superman, some people don't see how awesome he really is

No offence to him but I feel like he a really unrelatable and outdated character.Someone who was invented decades ago as a insanely powerful guy so that little kids can see him as their god or something

Actually the gross of X3 is a result of X2 being good, similar to the situation with SM2 and SM3
X3 being bad followed by Origins surely had an effect on FC imo, that movie deserved a 500M gross atleast and it has 350M or something

Doubt that when bringing in my example of how gross means squat.
If you think a bad X men movie wont have an effect on another X men movie, you kidding yourself, they are part of the same franchise
The GA harldly put too much mind into the different canon/different director thingy.
Its the brand name that really matters

Wolverine is FOX's flag ship character only because they have no idea on how to focus on other characters.
Maybe because the other characters are hardly interesting(Except for Magneto and Xavier, and they did focus on them in FC)

A terrible Wolverine movie made 400M,if it was a decent one, imagine what it would have made,Spider-man like numbers surely

Then what would be the reason why SM2 made less than SM1, even though it was considered a better movie?

Evil Dead 2013 is getting some pretty good to really good buzz at SXSW 2013.

Am I the only one who's really not interested in Thor 2?
Not so interested, not really a fan of the character
First film is fun imo, but not something I want to own

No offence to him but I feel like he a really unrelatable and outdated character.Someone who was invented decades ago as a insanely powerful guy so that little kids can see him as their god or something
WOW, did you get the wrong picture of Superman
Creators Jerry Seigel and Joe Shuster wanted to make a character after the father of one of them was robbed, the character was supposed to be someone to be able to catch crooks as should be
As the character being viewed as a God, no, no no no, absolutely not. He was a teacher, a smart man, someone to escape dillemas without bringing attention to himself being Superman, and with all his powers he still is a man
Best way to explain the character is one of his Golden Age stories, he grabbed a gun maker and told him to go to a place of war, the arms maker was shocked to see Superman with him on the boat and asked some gangs to get rid of him
The thugs did their job (or so they thought by tossing Superman off the boat), arms maker refused to pay them as promised, Superman saved that arm dealer and told him to enroll in the army of the state he was told to go to. Superman joined the army to keep an eye on that guy, and made sure -without dying- the arm dealer see the danger of weapons

Superman is generally a man, a teacher, not an idol to be worshiped, a man with great power taught to use it responsibly decades before Spider-Man learns his lesson, and helps guide people of Earth to their better potential and see good

I find Superman as a character boring and unrelatable. However, like The Avengers, I can always watch the movie for the cool action scenes, yay!

The only thing I like about them making Man Of Steel, is that it'll lead to the Justice League film, Supes by himself isn't that interesting. I can never relate to a character like Clark Kent (who is a God among men), no matter how much Donner or Bryan Singer or Zack/Nolan try desperately to humanize him. He's not human or relatable. He's still an all-powerful being that nobody can beat, well, unless you happen to have Kryptonite in your back pocket or utility-belt.

Sounds like a God to be worshiped to me. All powerful, not of this world, teaching the people of earth abroad, in hopes that you will follow in his ways that is righteousness.

No matter how you put it,he's a God among men
He is totally unrelatable,he can shoot lasers from his eyes, lift an infinite tons, blow people away with his breath, fly into space,in inpenertrable, and can bounce off bullets, has X ray vision, superhuman hearing, uncomparable healing....where does it end with this guy? Is there anything he cant do?

Its like the makers went 'Lets give this guy each and every power there is so more and more kids will be fascinated'

Its the vulnerability and beatable aspect which makes Superheroes relatable,Supes doesnt have that

There is that point about being unrelatable, then there is the ridiculous aspect. His greatest weakness is a Rock? His greatest enemy is bald businessman? He wears glasses and combs his hair and no one can recognize him?

How can one take this guy seriously. As I said, totally unrelatable and outdated character

I hate the idea that people think the film itself isn't what matters and what matters is how the previous film is like.

Explain Spider-Man 2, then.

If you think a bad X men movie wont have an effect on another X men movie, you kidding yourself, they are part of the same franchise

Dude, you're not giving the general audience any credit if you think they're going to see trailers of a X-Men movie and not give it attention just because of a film solely about Wolverine ended up being bad.

Maybe because the other characters are hardly interesting(Except for Magneto and Xavier, and they did focus on them in FC)

A terrible Wolverine movie made 400M,if it was a decent one, imagine what it would have made,Spider-man like numbers surely

Doubt that.

And First Class didn't even HAVE interesting characters besides Xavier and Magneto in the first place.

Then what would be the reason why SM2 made less than SM1, even though it was considered a better movie?

The reason is you can never count grosses as valid as some would like you to believe, lol.

Thor: The Dark World isn't really in my radar either. But that's how I feel about Wolverine sort of as well...two CBMs for 2013 that don't even have trailers, lol.

Well Thor 2 not having a trailer isn't too much of a surprise. It comes out in December doesn't it? We will most likely have something with IM3.

Pretty surprising. CBMs like TDKR and Man of Steel can give you something a year before it's released, but Thor 2 can't?

Thor 2 is my most anticipated. I've never liked Iron Man and always thought that Supes was the most overrated character. MoS looks awesome still and i'll prob see it, but TDW is numero uno on my watch list.
