The Dark Knight Wizard Article Transcript (work in progress)

So is that pretty much a confirmation that we WILL see Two Face in TDK?

well i think that was confirmed a while back when the Wizard World footage showed :)

Didn't see the WW footage so apologies for my ignorance.

nah its not ignorance no worries :) I believe there was an article on the wizard site about it and I saw reports a couple other places.

Even though this is obvious from the pics, it still saddens me to read it. For once, in BB, we got a powerful and powerful looking Batman. Now we could be back to the skinny man who uses technology and devices for his power instead of actual physical strength.

I think what was suggested was that this time round - with his new suit, his new vehicle, AND his physique - Batman is aiming for speed and precision over raw power.

I agree, I think he'll be even more athletic this time around, with a sleeker suit and more mobility. The tools are part of his trade, he is after all a normal human, and its expected for him to upgrade his equipment to suit his needs.

Yes, it's more like Neal Adams version: an athletic, but lean figure, than an over muscular Batman.
I prefer Batman more like a Bruce Lee than a bodybuilder if he wants to be really fast and agile. :ninja:

This would suggest otherwise:

"We just find him dressed like this, and you can assume that he might've been dressed like that for years," Hemming reveals. "Whatever he's been up to and doing, before we meet him he's been wearing these clothes. He's already scarred in the film, so the makeup comes from what he does to himself to enhance that rather than to look like a clown. It's much more of a street kind of Joker rather than a man who puts on a clown mask.

Hemming says he's already The Joker, right from the start of the film. A fact the reports of the prologue confirm. So, barring some kind of Joker flashback later in the film (which could be presented as unreliable - it would be a great place to incorporate the "I like my past to be multiple choice" line) we're not getting an origin.

Just because they say this is what probably happened to him, doesn't mean we'll see it.
Exposition. Likely going to be told through dialogue, maybe Bruce does some detective work or something.

I'm disappointed that Lucious makes the new suit and continues to be Batman's Q. The projectiles for capturing criminals also has me worried.

yeah, i never liked the whole "Q" thing that they did in Begins with lucious, batman isnt james bond. the projectiles sounds cool though, alkthough reminds me of the schumacher days.

Correct me if im wrong but unless I was on drugs or something...Lucious has been in a good number of the comics as well as in Batman:The Animated Series. I remember he was working on the Batmobile in an episode or two. So Nolan didn't create the character just for BB, not to mention create the idea that Lucious helps Batman with things.

This all sounds bad ass, yet I still want some footage of actual hand to hand combat. There's been no reports of how the fighting will be or look like. I want a two/face vs joker confrontation as part of the showdown. Batman cannot kill joker, however two-face can. This film looks serious and bad ass....

You actually don't mind if they kill off Joker as opposed to sending him to Arkham?

I actually want the joker to seem like he's died, and at the final scene we get a glimpse that he's alive. I mean batman let ras al ghul died, this joker is way more bad ass then ras. It only makes sense if joker gets punished by his own chaos such as twoface.

Hey I just got the Empire issue with Joker on it today, and I'm in the US. Wasn't the issue supposed to come out next year?

Damn...i guess the rumors about the blades on the gauntlet shooting out were true *Sigh*...oh well its only a minor thing

i kind of like that. if you don't mind me asking, what are your issues with it? i think it makes sense, as a way to take out thugs that are far off while dealing with closer threats with FISTS.

thank you very much robin for typing all this down. Great Article they pretty much summed up everything we knew and needed to know bout this movie in that.

I`m not entirely sure lol...I mean lyk if those shoot out then why not have the ears do the same thing? Sounds stupid and I guess I`m just used to him having bladed forerarms and if they`re not there even for a moment then I dunno if I can get used to that lol

i think with lucious making this costume rather than bruce and al piecing one together all comes back to the high criminal escalation which is one of the main themes here
