Wolverine and X-men Anime Series Comings

i am digging the show just not the japanese voice actors. the girls squeal alot!!

Yeah that's sort of the Japanese anime voice over/seiyuu style. As much as I like anime sometimes I feel fans have an over-inflated view of their quality and also voice acting.

Sometimes I wish characters didn't talk so much during anime especially during fights where they explain to their enemies their entire fighting techniques.

i REALLY like the character development. While it does assume we know about each characters pasts, we have a bit of growth.

The character designs for the X-Men anime are now online. I love their take on Storm. But I wish they kept Wolverine short instead of the same height as Cyclops. Why are they making him taller now?

I'd say it's already off to a better start than Iron Man and Wolverine.

I especially enjoyed seeing [BLACKOUT]Magneto, Juggernaut, Stryfe, and Mystique[/BLACKOUT] in the closing credits but I don't know if that means they'll factor into the story. Hope so!

I hope that means Cable comes in. Love to see an anime version of him.

I'm rapidly losing interest in this series now. And it started off so well! The plot seems to be going at a snails pace now, which happened about the same time in the Wolverine anime. I'll stick with it until the end to see if there is some sort of pay-off.

I got to say, the Japanese do love their monsters! I'm half expecting Godizilla and Mothra to cameo at some point!

If they do a 2nd season and take it the setting out of Japan, back into NY and have more classic villans/characters than it will probably be better then s1.

Magneto breaks out of his prison, and the final text reads, "The Battle of the X-Men Continues." Is this a fun little nod to the comics, or possibly a hint that a second anime series could be on the way?

while i love seeing Xmen in animated form, i couldn't put my finger on why i wasn't into this as much as i should be.

Earlier i felt like it was moving along nicely, then it became glaringly obvious this show suffers from the traditional woes of anime.

everyone talks too much, then young child saves everything.
but since shes the only japanese person on the team i guess I can give it to them. :-/

well lets hope the next season doesn't take place entirely in japan.

Im on episode 10 and not liking this series. The first few episodes were alright but the story just is not appeling. I HATE how they are interpretting secondary mutations in this series. Im also finding it a little too Japanese for my tastes but I guess thats the point

Squealing is part of anime! But so far, if its done right it could be just as good as the Orginal Xmen cartoon! Im really excited to see some new animation!

According to TV listings, the Wolverine anime actually premieres tomorrow on G4 at 8:30 PM.

Finally finished the series. Meh. The story dragged on too long: it should have wrapped up in 6 episodes. And what is with all the standing around and talking when they should be trying to stop Mastermind or save the friggin' world???? The only interesting thing that happened in the final episode was finally seeing other mutants and...wait for it...Deadpool! But wtf! He teamed up with Nightcrawler? That is the weirdest team-up EVAH! Cool that Captain Britain was there with Iron Man lending a hand, but why him and not his sis, Psylocke? If ever an X Man was made for anime, it's her. And Gambit, who would look way cool in anime.

It would be interesting if this get another season. Does anyone know how it was received in Japan. I don't see this doing well in the US, English voice acting or no.

More good news, STEVEN BLUM voicing Wolverine again.

Also sounds like Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey again and Fred Tatasciore as Beast again.

Now all we need is Kari Wahlgren to play Emma Frost again. Not a second season to Wolverine and The X-Men, but the next best thing.
