Wolverine filming update/news.

Full Wolverine costume?
Does that mean his yellow one?

I'm going to assume no, since it's an X-Men prequel.

That does have me a bit confused though. Since this is a prequel to the X-men films, he wouldn't have his black suit yet.

Maybe by "full costume" she means the pants and t-shirt - what he's been wearing in the movies when it's not the leather outfit. Or she could have meant just the hair and beard since that's "Wolverine."

It had to be the hair. I'm quite sure Hugh doesn't always keep his hair like that. :oldrazz:

Wolverine in the Hobbit...talk about a badass movie idea ;)

Well, he might have a costume before the black leather of X1/X2/X3.

Comicbook Wolverine had a yellow/black/blue costume and also a tan/black/orange suit, both of which might work as motorcycle riding suits. We know he is a biker in the movie so he might have an adapted version of one of the comicbook costumes. Motorbike leathers can be multi-coloured, especially for sports bikes.

IMO Logan was in a White t-shirt and jeans more than he was in the Black-Leather suit in the movies. So that is his offical costume to me.

Christian Clark to Appear in X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The Australian actor Christian Clark accidentally confirmed his involvement in Fox's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman. We reported here that he was in talks for the film, and while speaking to the Adelaide Advertiser, Clark confirmed it.

The paper says that Clark was "momentarily caught off-guard when asked about X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and inadvertently confirms his involvement, before realising the gag order in his contract prevents him from doing so or talking about it any further."

Clark just recently wrapped up shooting for the George Miller-directed Prey, and is also in talks to star in John Soto's Crush.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine explores Wolverine's early days. The film will cover Logan's early life, and his involvement with the mysterious Weapon X program. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is due to arrive in theatres in 2009.

Here's the actual article, including his picture:

He'd make a good James Hudson or maybe even Agent Zero. I hope Fox will release their cast list soon!

I hope they do a variation of the brown/tan/black suit. A biker suit is an interesting way to go

Is anyone else lately starting to get annoyed at how they keep the cast a secret for so long?

I don't see what the big deal is most of the time. It's like for the fans who are keeping up with all these news tidbits, we know the characters in this universe...aside from creating new ones for the movie(which tends to be lame) we have a pretty good idea of who could be in a Wolverine film.

Yeah, I don't see what the big deal is, lol. I guess they [Fox] will just do some big reveal with the full cast list or something.

The (Hudson?) farm set is coming along nicely!

Don't get me wrong, I understand keeping certain characters a secret IF they are meant as a surprise to lead into the next film. If not...just tell us who the hell will be in the film.

My feeling is they may not have everyone in place just yet, but can't you just tell us who IS?!? I don't get the big secrecy behind the casting either.

Exactly. I know they're not 100% completed in casting, but for those who are cast - they should just announce them already (unless those who may be surprise cameos).

Hey guys i will defiantly keep everyone updated im going to see what i can find out unfortunately i cant say where they are atm because i could get fired etc

One of the sound guys working on the movie (he hasn't SAID he's been working on it but the clues are there) has updated his blog. He's great at never saying anything but posts some fab pics and subtle hints. He worked on Hugh's last movie "Australia" and he's updated today - he talks mostly about the scenery but here's this:

http://thompsound.blogspot.com/2008/02/art-is-cool.html

we're back in town for a little while, shooting in the forests about an hour out of town (the pine trees feel surprisingly canadian, which always makes me happy), and closer to the city in an old cement works.

speaking of work, it's all going quite well.

don't know why I seem surprised; as we've got a fantastic crew, and amazing scenery - what more could you ask for.

the differences between this film and the last are as numerous as they are massive.

Not that either one was the correct way to do things, but it's almost a holiday to return to the regularly structured form of shooting feature films; and our pace has been a nice contrast as well.

One thing that has made me really happy is how good the local crew are; I was always expecting good things (i mean, c'mon; lord of the rings...), but damn... they've got the logistics of shooting in remote areas well and truly sorted. Everyone is really friendly, and it's got a chilled vibe that doesn't usually happen on bigger productions. it's almost enough to make me want to move here...

I'm having a small issue getting used to our lead actor's accent though... after 9 months of hearing him speak with a hearty Aussie tone, it's a little disconcerting to hear some northern american coming out. Then again, his previous character didn't have claws either...

Good find narrows and nice to hear that everything is finally starting up.

I'm itching to hear some official casting news though.Whats keeping them from announcing that?

I've been following Ian's blog since last May when he was reporting great stuff on Hugh's movie "Australia" - he usually posts something every weekend.

I also wonder why they haven't announced a confirmed cast - perhaps everyone isn't in place yet and they are just waiting for that to make one big announcement?
