Wolverine: Casting News & possible new pic.

Is anybody worried Fox has dished out so much money in the last 2 weeks for extra cast members that they now cannot make a extrmely badass movie. They are going to have to scrap some CG stuff now I bet! I'm worried it's gonna turn out like a bad kung-fu flick where you can see the wires hanging off the bodies during fight scenes!

They haven't got Halle Berry in this film, so they will have plenty of budget left for 'CG stuff'. Don't worry :D

Awe wouldn't worry too much about the affects. I'm sure the producers will find some way to fit in both great actors and special affects.

Not all muscular people...just the professional wrestlers. They ALL are or were except maybe freaks like Andre the Giant. That is without exception. Pretty much the same can be said for professional football players and many UFC fighters. I know this personally.

You're dreadfully mistaken.

Quite a few wrestlers are juiced, yes...but many arent. They arent too hard to pick out, if you know how to spot symptoms of steroid abuse. After spending a lot of time working with wrestlers I can tell you that yes, some definitely are, but many are not.

Dwayne, by his own admission, did use steroids in the past, but that was in his college ball days (where I first met him and Dany, his ex). He works out religiously, and takes exceptional care of himself. Also, he never has had the odd body mass changes one associates with steroid abuse.

This guy is quite literally the fastest and most agile "big man" I've met, and one hell of an athlete. But thats not suprising...he comes from a very athletic family.

Pro wrestlers today are for the most part exceptional athletes (they have to be to do the crap they do, make it look somewhat believable and not hurt each other). And, like most pro athletes, the most commonly abused drug isnt steroids, its painkillers.

And yes, I know this from firsthand experience.

Foley is and always will be my favorite wrestler, he stayed exactly the same weight for years so no worry that he's using steroids :woot:.

They made tons off the previous films, so they won't be cheap with this one. I'm sure it will be funded properly, considering all the cameos they're adding. Plus I think they get a discount or something for filming in Australia compared to the USA.

Extra cast members come pretty cheap, unless they're big names. One of the poker players mentioned that the money they were offered wasn't great.
Even with the main cast, they're unlikely to be paid that much (other than Hugh).
What could cost money are the special effects associated with all these characters but if they end up being too expensive they can be cut.

The film gets a 15% rebate for filming in Australia.

Hogan is that you? :woot:

Maybe not steroids, but some wrestlers are definitely on growth hormones. John Cena didn't get to those proportions by simply working out.

Please show me a top wrestler who's not on roids, HGH, or who has some thyroid condition. LOL

That depends whether or not you consider creatine a steroid.

Wow strong ignorance in here. First off how can you or anyone consider creatine a steroid??? its a naturally occurring substance in the body, and is also in steak.... maybe you should do a little research about things before you post it. Also creatine does not change anything in your body it just simply allows your muscles to hold more water.
secondly ALL pro wrestlers take steroids and or HGH... their bodies would never recover from what they do.they HAVE to take steroids to have a career. you think they just up the next morning after their show and workout. Their bodies need to rest and recover and steroids off that in an extremely quick time. Also they would not be able to retain their muscle mass by the work that they do. Just because someone says i don't use steroids dosen't mean anything... ronnie coleman says he dosen't use steroids.... go google an image of him and ask if he looks natural.

Round-up: Hollywood Dan Negreanu
Eurosport - Fri, 21 Mar 14:59:00 2008

One of the world's most famous poker players Daniel Negreanu is set to appear with Hugh Jackman in an upcoming film.

According to a Toronto radio station, Negreanu, the second all-time leading money winner on the World Poker Tour circuit, will play cards in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Negreanu was only second choice however after Phil Helmuth, who holds the record for most bracelets won at the World Series of Poker with 11, declined due to other commitments.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine explores Wolverine's early days, before joining the X-Men, and will come out in 2009.

The film stars Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Dominic Monaghan, Danny Huston, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, Daniel Henney, and Lynn Collins.

FYI, steroids are chemicals that cause your body to make more testosterone, which is also a naturally occurring chemical in your body, just like creatine. And creatine doest just allow your muscles to hold more water, its way more complex than that. But you are right that creatine isnt a steroid, its a supplement!

What the guy above said. :)

To answer your question above though...no I don't consider myself to be a steroid user. I take Creatine.

And stronger ignorance on your part. Read what I posted, and in reply to what. I already know for a fact creatine isnt a steroid, but many people label it a "performance enhancing drug" and automatically deduce "steroid".

RUMOR:

Guys whilst looking for information on Scott for the site i came across this interesting post on imdb.com. In the post it says Scott Adkins has been cast in Xmen Origins:Wolverine. This has not been confirmed officially and i will try and find out if this is true and let you guys know. If it is true then that will be awesome for Scott.

CHANNEL 9's McLeod's Daughters may be finished, but one former cast member, Myles Pollard of Cronulla, is keeping busy with other roles including appearing with Hugh Jackman in his latest blockbuster, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Myles, who played Nick Ryan in McLeod's Daughters, was flown to Queenstown, New Zealand, for the Wolverine role. He said it was a highlight of his career so far.

"With Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, I play a lumberjack in the movie which is due to be released next year," he said.
