Adelaide in X-Men Origins : Wolverine

Australian actress Adelaide Clemens (“Love My Way”, “The Pacific”) is the latest addition to the cast of ''X Men Origins : Wolverine'', according to today's Print edition of The Sunday Herald Sun.

Clemens, nominated for best new talent at this year’s Logie Awards, is one of several Australians (besides the films lead, Hugh Jackman) to have snagged small roles in the film – also in the cast are “MacLeod’s Daughters” star Myles Pollard and Christian Clark from “Neighbours”.

No word on which character Clemens - who actually grew up in France - is playing.

Interesting. With all these oddball (for a Wolverine film, anyway) characters being added in, it's hard to even guess who she may be playing.

Her role is probably really minor, but it'd be funny if she ended up playing a young Jean Grey or Emma Frost (with this film, you never know)

Actually, I wouldn't be too surprised if she's Emma Frost. It'd work with my idea for a New X-Men 'spin-off' for X-Men 4 as it introduces her character.

I am confused, why do they have X-Men characters in this film? I mean I guess I understand Gambit but why Cyclops? I just don't get it.

^ Because his inclusion could be appropriate to a particular scene in the movie. Also, it creates buzz to potentially draw in additional fans. For all we know, however, Cyclops' cameo could be little more than a brief appearance a la Colossus in X-Men.

I would have preffered they did this movie before X3, and then, having done a really good sequel of X2.
