People hate the X Force suit?

Well not the comic suit as much, but the fan attempt.

Either way were not gonna see a suit at all as Fox are beyond stupid and only want him in a vest/no shirt and jeans.

i agree that a x force suit wouldnt look that bad on screen as a yellow and blue suit or the brown

They could have given him a mask in the X-Men origins film. When he teamed up with William Stryker, they could have had him wear a mask to protect his identity, and made uniforms for their team. But maybe the samurai idea could really work...

That would have been too awesome for that movie. They also could have had Wolverine, Sabretooth, Deadpool, etc be call signs when they were on the team but that too would have made too much sense and been too awesome for that movie.

Take Wolvie's mask, tone down the fin things to give it a more Incredible Hulk #181 look, and mix that with an Oni mask.

The brown and orange suit can be a Yashida clan combat outfit. The color scheme was inspired by the clan colors anyway.

I kinda feel like if he ends up wearin any kind of mask, it'll be something like this.

I don't see that happening. It's barely a costume. It's just a head rag, a vest and a couple of funky boots. That would be underwhelming to see.

^And the worst possible costume for Logan.....ever!

Yeah, underwhelming for sure but, I just meant the head rag/mask part, not the funky boots and vest. Who knows, he may rock an actual ninja outfit.
I just dont think we will probably ever see a mask like this...

Yeah, we'll never see a direct translation (at least not in this iteration of X-movies). Though I would hope that if they do tackle the mask then they wouldn't just have a head rag. In my opinion it would be better to do without in that case.

Hugh Jackman would just look goofy and funny if he wears the mask. I could see him wearing the yellow and blue costume but the mask just takes it to another level.

Batman also has an identity to hide. Logan already ran around with his claws in the open way too much. There's really no point in masking his face. There's only one person on the planet with claws popping out of his hands.

Batman wears a mask

Batman also strives to keep his identity secret and has an overall bat motif going on.

Wolverine barely knows his own identity let alone tries to hide it and his comic costume is so far from an actual wolverine design it's quite funny.

Also Batman still looks pretty ridiculous, especially in the Dark Knight movies. He's got a giant nose and his mouth is always hanging open.

Well that's because they decided to show him in full light(a very bad idea, IMO) as he looks silly in light but cool in the dark shadows. Batman should stick to the night.

Which is why he should have been wearing a mask since the first friggin movie

A mask for Wolverine is impractical. It would probably look even worse than Cap's in the Avengers.

even though that photoshopped mask looks out of place, it just makes me want to see it done well even more

and i still laugh at the "he doesn't need to hide his id" argument
he doesn't need ridiculous pointy hair either, but he still has that doesn't he?
it's iconic, muthaf****as

agreed with mulholland that it would be really tough to actually make the thing look decent on screen though
but cap's mask was just poorly done, and mustve been rushed since it wasn't in the original concept art, so that's a bad example
a sculptor with a real passion for the mask would figure out something cool

I'd love if they brought in Dept.H and how he was an operative as the reason why he wore the mask and costume. Gotta go with the brown and tan though, looks cooler.

sorry wolverine has no reason to wear a mask

his face isn't deformed like deadpool or hide his identity like batman or spiderman and his personality does'nt fit with such a costume

again why is he the only x men to wear a mask?

Plus it doesn't help that he wears his hair in the same style as his mask "ears".

See I always thought he did that so his mask/cowl wouldn't mess up his hair-do. :woot:

It's just that wolerine's look/persona (at least as developed in the films) is so the opposite of someone who'd put on a costume.

He's got a very rough and tumble i don't give a **** aesthetic going on for him. Something that preludes him to wear wife beaters and and leather vests...not so much the facemask/flamboyant outfit. Even in the comics wolverines persona has never matched his outfit.

It really makes no sense when you think about it. No other X-Man wears a mask, except for the one guy who you'd think would find them silly in the first place. I'm not missing the mask. Some of my favorite designs of him are maskless anyway.
