Woman dumps kitten in garbage...in public

Why is she being offered police protection?

She made her bed, now she can lie her fat ass in it.
Apparently 4chan found out who she was, and posted addresses and contact information to her residence and workplace. Although I've also heard that 4chan only posted the video and she got scared and went to the police herself.

The woman is off her rocker, but I agree that throwing kittens off a building is way worse. Supposedly a close relative of hers had just died so she was out of it, but it still doesn't excuse her from looking around to see if there were any witnesses, dumping a cat into a trash bin, and then walking away. It might explain her state of mind, but she should still be punished. The cat was stuck in there and legitimately was in danger, especially if the owners hadn't gotten her out before the garbage truck came! :wow:

I have cats now and they're sweethearts, but I've also come across some real nasty feline pieces of work, and I still wouldn't dump them into a trash can.

Well it damn should be. Humans treat animals like s***. We're no different. just a smarter brain, and that's it.

 Yes because a horrible death is always justifiable punishment for putting a living being in a box.

I guess every bully who ever stuffed a kid in a locker should be savagely murdered also.

People are seriously overreacting to this.

Do you understand what you're implying? You're saying that a defensless animal be stuffed in a trash can isn't that bad and the woma nshouldn't be severely punished. That's why we see dead animals on the road. Nobody gives a f***. We're not overreacting, it's the truth.

It's funny that people are all up in arms about this and they own pets. Owning a pet is like putting an animal in prison. It's not natural to throw an animal in a cage for their entire life without letting them roam the way nature built them. If you were an animal what would you rather have? Would you rather go wherever you want and hunt when you want, or would you rather have your reproductive capabilities away while being somebody's personal toy?

I wouldn't throw a cat in the trash by the way, but if you own a pet you are probably doing something worse to that animal than what this lady did.

*puts on flame suit*

I still find this video as funny as the people overreacting to it. I own pets and I see it as a form of guardianship to adopt a family member of another species, but like my Homo sapiens family members, I play practical jokes on my non-human family members.

No you people are overreacting.

If people were just saying "She should be in jail" I'd have nothing to say about. Instead people are calling the woman a ****e and wishing death upon her. That's a gross overreaction. An adult would get less of a punishment for striking a small child.

And we see dead animals in the road more often than not because animals run into traffic, most people try and avoid them but unfortunately that doesn't always work.

I wish I could do that to my neighbor's cat. That one would deserve it though, it's an annoying prick that scratches peoples' cars by jumping on them.

There's a difference between playing jokes and dumping it in there just to be mean. She had no intention of getting it out. I see where you're coming from, and i do the same, but in a much kinder way.

Peopel treat animals like s*** for no reason. I read a story about a year ago in my city how some kids threw rocks at a ducks head until it died, and you mean to tell me that those kids shouldn't get some sort of punishment? pfft.

Also, no, that's not always the case. Trust me, it can't happen as often as I've seen dead animals on roads. There are people who don't give a crap. Plain and simple.

Considering how the stray cats meow and beg for food outside our door, I'd say they'd rather be somewhere comfortable and fed, even if they have to give away their reproductive capabilities. :funny:

And possessing reproductive capabilities is completely overrated for female cats. Cat penises are spiny.

I've locked my cats in closets for probably a much longer time than that cat was in that garbage can.

^^ Yes, but did you have plans to keep it in there until it dies? I doubt it. That's the difference you and her.

You seem to just be arguing a point without actually paying attention to what I'm saying. I never said people shouldn't be punished for harming animals. I said in the very post that you quoted that if people were asking for the women to serve a jail sentence I'd have nothing to say about it as it'd be a fair punishment.

Also, no, that's not always the case. Trust me, it can't happen as often as I've seen dead animals on roads. There are people who don't give a crap. Plain and simple.

I never said it was always the case. I said "More often than not" meaning that most decent people will swerve almost instinctively while a a few jerks will just plow right over animals.

Again you seem to be so focused on making you point that you're not paying attention to what I'm saying.....Doing what that women did was mean spirited and unnecessary and she should face some FAIR punishment for it...Her being imprisoned for life , having people wish death upon her, and just generally making her life miserable is not a FAIR punishment for what she did.

That's cause you're mean. And have no qualms about cats peeing or pooping in your closet. :oldrazz:

My roommate uses the cats are her personal toys. And she wonders why they prefer being with me more. :funny:

The cat was a street cat, they're quite capable, even as kittens, I doubt that cat was in there for more than a few minutes.

Cats are funny to mess with. :awesome:

How do you know she planned to leave it there till it died? It was a trash can not an Iron Maiden.

See? Someone agrees with me.

I never said that SHE planned to leave it in there until it dies. Howeve,r what do you think she was trying to do? Get rid of it. Sure, the cat would have gotten out sooner or later whether it's by itself or someone getting it out. It's the persons intentions that were wrong.

The only reason I'm responding with those types of answers is because you seem to say that an animals life, whether it being injured or not, should not be handled with the same punishment a human faces for killing a person.

Tbh, I never wished her dead.

It was reported that the owner finally let it out, 15 hours after it had been dumped in. That's a long time for a cat to be stuck somewhere!

Cats are funny to mess with, but locking it somewhere borders on mean to me. :oldrazz: My bf used to chase the kitten around and grab her tail, and after I finally told him it annoyed me seeing him taunt her and he stopped, she liked him a lot more. :oldrazz: Cats are already amusing by themselves IMO.

If that's the case then yes that is what I'm saying. I do not think that someone kicking a dog should get the same kind of punishment that someone would get for killing a human being.

Tbh, I never wished her dead.

When I spoke of people overreacting by wishing the woman dead you did respond "We're not overreacting", thus including yourself in that group.

Oh you wacky brits and your ***** tossing.

For those saying the cat could have gotten out on its own, according to the news reports, it was in there for 15 HOURS until someone finally heard it making noise. If it hadn't gotten out on its own in 15 hours, obviously it couldn't get out. If someone hadn't come along, it could very plausibly have starved to death.

And as for the woman not intending to leave it in there until it died....uh, yes she did. She threw it in, put the lid on, and walked away. Obviously she didn't give a **** if it got out or not.

And you're right, I probably shouldn't be calling her a ****e. The term for a female dog fits her much better.

Cat's can go WEEKS without eating....

That doesn't make it okay to deprive one of food for 15 hours.
