Woman dumps kitten in garbage...in public

You see, it's that. How do you go from tossing a cat into a trash can, to a guy killing someone? A guy punching somebody in the face and then saying "well, I thought it would be funny..." would probably be more appropriate, and even then that's kind of an overreaction. Seriously, I don't understand the escalation.

Because studies have shown that many serial killers/sociopaths started with abusing animals.

First of all, she was an old lady. She should have graduated to luring kids with her gingerbread house by now. Secondly, I'm pretty sure when they say abusing animals they mean, smashing ferrets head's in with a hammer.

So...she's a late bloomer. Go dig up her back yard and see what you find.

I'll leave that to the Kitty Liberation Front. They have her marked for death you know.

The KLF is a formidable bunch.

The really upsetting thing about it is she said "I'm sorry for what I did...but it's just a cat! i don't understand why it's such a big deal."

Look, first of all, that's an "I'm sorry...but" so you aren't really sorry. Secondly, it's not "just a cat," it's someones family member. It's one of their best friends and companions. It's not just a cat you ignorant a$$hole. It's like someone coming by your house, seeing your kid in the front yard chilling out, coxing your kid over by acting friendly, then locking your kid in a cage. If someone did that to one of my cats I'd be effing livid.

and this whole "i thought it would be funny" excuse I don't buy. She looked around twice to see that no one was watching, tossed the cat in there, closed the lid, and briskly walked away. She's messed up in the head and "in thought it would be funny" is B.S. She's a sick individual who got caught.

Tell me about it. They disemboweled a guy for throwing a Nerf football at a cat. I can't even imagine what they'll do to her. :o

That was a gutsy move...even for them...they're no one to fiddle with.

How do you know she planned to leave it there till it died? It was a trash can not an Iron Maiden.

The cat was boxed inside that trash can, and if it weren't for her meowing that led her owners to find her after 15 hours, it might have died eventually, or the garbage truck will load it into its cargo, where it could be crushed. I think it is safe to assume that that lady didn't care if it dies or not.

it's... a... cat...

[/endoftheworld]

I don't own a cat, but my wife used to own a dog with her family (who passed away at age 12), and I can tell you that a pet is more than an animal; it's family. So I don't think you should just dismiss that cat as "just a cat".

But... I just did dismiss it as just a cat well, because... it's just a cat.

Not currently, no. Someone threw it away in a trashcan and I haven't seen it since.

"I love cats...they taste good" am i right? lol

I'm not a fan of cats at all and I've always wanted a dog. Ive never had either but I still think it's effed up.

I think it was more callous because it actually was someone's pet, not just some random stray. It's like if someone found your laptop and threw it away because it's "just a computer."

It would still be mean if the cat had been a stray, but the fact that it was someone's PET should make even noncat-lovers angry. :oldrazz:

It's like if you have a photo album full of old pictures that could never be replaced, and someone threw it away saying that it's "just a photo album".

except the photo album is a living thing...

It's really nothing like a photo album or a laptop. a pet is a family member.

Well, as C. Lee said...ask psychologists and criminal psychologists that question I'm sure they can answer just fine. Most serial killers start out by torturing and killing animals, especially cats.

I mean lets face it. She didn't throw that cat in the garbage can to have a laugh about it. Give me a break. She lured it in, petted it, then opened the can and tossed it in. Then she walks away really fast and she wasn't laughing that's for sure.

She didn't know she was being video taped and so she had to make something up. She wasn't even sorry for it, haha. "I'm sorry but..it was just a cat!". Yeah, to most people it is just a cat. It is just an animal. However, to a lot of people in this country and in most other countries like England...cats and dogs become members of the family. Might as well tossed one of their kids in the trash can while your at it. There goes a laugh or two, right?

That's pretty much verbatum what I posted above. Needless to say I completely agree. This woman is a messed up individual.

Now tossing a kid in the trash can woulda been funny.
