Women beats up fawn to death and claims she was defending herself

I lost my empathy for the woman when she stated she wanted to throw the body out on her lawn as a message to other deer.

She never said that. Her neighbor said that's what she told him.

If she is so frightened by a motionless fawn to the point that she has to hit it with a shovel, then maybe she is past the point of being able to care for herself.

There it is.

I could care less if what she did was legal or reasonable. This woman strikes me as an idiot, or senile. She's now made herself look that way, and into a target and then some. I think, by the time this is all said and done, she'll have punished herself, frankly.

Are we really going to debate the difference between killing insects/accidental roadkill and this incident?

What reason to you have to not value spiders and insects or "accidents" as much as fawns?

Who knows...neighbors, you know?

We don't know whether she said it or not. But you can't just assume it's true. Frankly, I think her own statements are "damning" enough.
